Noob challenge #2. I've done due diligence searching the User Guide and the Forum, but did not find an answer.
I have the ASIO driver for my MOTU interface selected in preferences, and song audio is playing through it as expected, but demos in SongPicker and StylePicker are playing through the onboard sound system. I have an external mixer setup that allows me to hear both outputs through my studio monitors, but would prefer to have all audio from BiaB play through the MOTU.
Is this possible without making the MOTU the default device for Windows audio? I prefer to leave onboard sound as the default for use by Windows and generic multimedia players so they keep their mitts off my dedicated audio interface.
Thanks in advance, Dave

http://vb-audio.pagesperso-orange.fr/Voicemeeter/banana.htmSet Biab to VoiceMeeter Virtual ASIO or AUX On the VoiceMeeter Panel set Hardware Input 1 to RealTek set Hardware Out to MOTU. You can start up VMB automatically with windows.

Hmmm... interesting. Thanks for the tip. I'll look into it, but probably don't want to add a layer of software to the system that introduces yet another way for audio streaming to misbehave.
I guess this means that what I'm seeing is working as expected. I haven't actually tried changing the default playback device in Windows, but assume that would also take care of it. Am I right about that?

It should release the driver for windows media player when stopped if you uncheck ASIO always on in the bb driver settings.

I'm not having any trouble using the ASIO driver with other apps like SONAR when BiaB is running. I just wanted the Demo Play function to use the ASIO driver instead of onboard sound. For the time being, I set the MOTU Analog Out 1/2 as default playback device in Windows, and that took care of it.
Thanks, Dave

Most PGMusic products use the default Windows device for a lot of the features in my experience. Especially 'preview' type functions and core Clicks, etc. I've also noticed this behavior and adapted my workflow when needed. I realize these functions need to work for the masses .. so the Windows default device is probably most reliable and safest and is the default.
Wishlist item(?)
I'd like to be able to assign a click track or count-in (or any other track) to any device I desire so I support this observation/suggestion. The only way to do this now that I know of is to alter System Settings instead of program settings..
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome Make your sound your own!

Thanks for the confirmation, rharv. I mostly just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing some option. Now that I know this is how it works, I can live with it.
In the grand scheme of accomodations I anticipate having to make to BiaB's quirks, this is a relatively small one.

It sure would be nice if this was addressed though .. having my 'click' (metronome) going somewhere other than expected can be a pain sometimes. Especially when a client is sitting there watching. I've adapted, but again; sure would be nice .. and look more professional in the workflow to the end user.
