Is there any thought to enable Band in a Box to be able to recognize these devices. Is it my understanding that microsoft has made a wrapper available to test for these devices and wrap a midi32 layer in the application. there is more info on the windows developer website. Thank in advance Phil Kemp

From all reports on various studio forums and websites that I have read so far (ie; not tried myself) ..., all claim that ..., Midi over bluetooth introduces too much latency, and also has a tendency to not be as reliable in capturing all the notes compared to using USB or Midi pin cables. Perhaps others here have tried it ? .., I have bluetooth setting turned off on my mac pro , as that in itself is another taxing feature on your CPU . But if you want to test the latency for yourself .., open a DAW / set the click / then record single midi notes (on the click) as accurately as you can play them / then note how many ticks or milliseconds they got placed away from the gridlines .., Then repeat this experiment by first turning off bluetooth , and then connecting the midi cables / then repeat the same experiment as above (but via the cables) .., and note the differences Note : many users have reported dropped notes also when using the bluetooth method. My Specs Computer : Mac Pro (late 2013) - OS Yosemite 10.10.5 Processor : 3.5 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon E5 Memory : 64 GB 1866 MHz DDR3 ECC Graphics : AMD FirePro D300 2048 MB Interface : Avid Mbox 3 Pro DAW : Pro Tools 12.6.0 (64 bit AAX)

I don't currently know a lot about MIDI over Bluetooth but on the Windows side, would it not just use a MIDI interface driver that Windows-based software would just see as an IN and OUT? If that's the case, Band-in-a-Box should already support connection of MIDI devices, it would be the driver's job to wrap the communication over Bluetooth from the In/Out, to the wirelessly connected Bluetooth adapter. Buttrey Enthusiast B Joined: May 2010 Posts: 76	Hi. I'm following up to see if anyone has first-hand experience with using a Bluetooth MIDI controller with BIAB. I'm interested particularly in the Korg microKey Air and the CME XKey Air. A couple of reviews have claimed that the latency isn't noticeable, and if that's true, I would love to get hold of one of these. But if latency gets in the way, obviously, there'd be no point. Does anyone have any experience and/or other thoughts? Thanks, Sam from near Monterey, CA Eternal Newbie

The Bob Doyle Media YouTube channel is known for demonstrating how you can creatively incorporate AI into your projects - from your song projects to avatar building to face swapping, and more!

His latest video, Convert MIDI Chords into AI Vocal Harmonies with ACE Studio and Band-in-a-Box, he explains in detail how you can use the Melodist feature in Band-in-a-Box with ACE Studio. Follow along as he goes from "nothing" to "something" with his Band-in-a-Box MIDI Melodist track, using ACE Studio to turn it into a vocal track (or tracks, you'll see) by adding lyrics for those notes that will trigger some amazing AI vocals!
