I got to see him last night and he's just the best out there, period. His shows and albums are always country music at its absolute finest. Seriously, if you can only see one country artist today, he's the one.

Hey, Dan - You must have gone to the Nissan Pavillion concert. I had several friends who went (I didn't get to go); they said they had a blast.

At my old day job at Jack Daniels, (yes the booze) we sponsored George's tour for a few years. On those occasions I had the privilege of meeting him and taking guest back stage to do the same and all I will add is besides the obvious talent he is a 1st class gent.

I know you had a big time!

There is a little venue on the edge of our town - Gruene Dance Hall - billed as the oldest dance hall in TX. George, Willie and many more acts from TX played there when they were starting out. Willie's daughter still plays there on a regular basis ----
Anyways - my wife was out there today at a little antique store and noticed a lot of activity at the dance hall. When she asked what was going on - she was told that George was doing some sort of photo shoot there. I asked her if she walked over to check it out and her response was - I just saw him on TV a couple of weeks ago. I was planning on taking a customer out that way for lunch - but things did not work out or I would have been out that way. Talked with some others who said they were able go right in the hall and watch things going on - What luck !

Hey, Danny that's pretty cool. And it doesn't surprise me to hear that.

John, yes it was the Nissan concert Saturday night. I can't believe that I never get there, given how close it is. It's a nice summer venue. Could use a better parking exit plan, though...

and you should have seen the traffic when they had WMZQ-Fest about a month ago. We were bringing my son home from college (WVU) and got caught up in all the people trying to get to Nissan for the concert. If getting in was that hard, I can't imagine what getting out was like...
