I'm thinking strongly about making the move to Audiophile this year, justifying the additional initial and annual outlay for what I understand to be the increased RealTracks sound quality. I have reviewed the discussions about Audiophile as they periodically occur, and would be interested in current input from those who have taken the plunge. I use BIAB and other tools for commercial releases, and my sense from what I have read has been that in such circumstances Audiophile is recommended. Thank you for your views.

I concur, commercial use is the primary reason to switch. I have written many times on the sound quality differences; you should be able to find one of those pretty easily. I will search later when I have more time.

LawTunes, I started using the Audiophile edition last year for the first time. While the wma version of Realtracks sound excellent, there's a little more clarity with the tracks in the original wav format. I like what the audiophile version brought to my songs. If you're interested, my 'latest song' below uses audiophile tracks. While Soundcloud has compressed the mix to mp3, I originally uploaded the wav file so that Soundcloud had the best version of the song to work with. Regards, Noel

LawTunes, glad you are joining us and that you are aware it will cost more at upgrade time as well. I do believe it's worth it.
The audiophile version usually takes a few more days to get ready after a new release, so expect that. The file sizes require a much larger USB drive. The one they've been using is a very nice USB 3 drive, which works great.

You won't be sorry. There is a difference with the Audiophile version, slight, but nevertheless, an improvement.
This of course is not a downloadable installation, so you need to wait until the disk is ready to ship. In the meantime, I recall that you can download the WMA files and use those.

Actually, I'm amazed how fast my BIAB HD gets here every year from up north as well and I live in NEW MEXICO (and we are FLY OVER country for the rest of FLY OVER country!)
