Loving the new layout in Powertracks 2016. When I play a Midi file via ASIO driver and a vst plug-in all is working with very low latency, the effects (chorus/reverb) sound great and are fully functional --- until I pause the Midi file from playing. Once I resume play the effects get turned off. I have to start the midi file from the beginning to get the effects tuned back "on". Any solution?
Prefs - MIDI - MIDI Out Check the settings for 'Zero continuous controllers' and also 'Resend most recent Controller settings' .. This may work if they are MIDI effects. If they are VST Audio FX it may be different.

I installed CoolSynth VirtualMidiSynth with the SynerGi GM soundfont and it keeps all effects in place with any and all sequence pauses and restarts. Additionally even using MME drivers I have very low latency when playing a midi keyboard.
I am really liking this updated version--- haven't updated in 4 years. The layout to me is the real winner. I could never get the latency as good as I have it now--- could be either Windows 10, better software design with the newer version of Powertracks, both ---or just dumb luck!
Coolsynth is, well, cool, but it is a MIDI output port. So you can't do direct renders through it (like you can with a VSTi or DXi synth). But, it does easily let you use any GM soundfont a your sound source.
I use it for my notation program, which then does not interfere with concurrently using BIAB or RealBand, since they are using different out ports.
