Just had a quick tryout of the new 2017 edition and it looks great. I like the slimline interface. Is there a way of making the grey buttons a bit brighter?
Anyhow I typed in a few chords and in 4/4 time and tempo 130. I called up the stylepicker and chose a jazz style called GO_GETTER which is a 4/4 jazz shuffle. To my surprise it played back 3/4 time. Anyway I substituted a few other styles and they all played 4/4 no problem. Then I returned to GO_GETTER and it was back in 3/4.
Could anyone confirm this and test out their version of this style?

No I was entering chords in 4/4 time just a simple short sequence and for some reason this particular RealTrack played it in 3/4. When I substituted other styles it was 4/4 again so I thought something might be wrong with this realTrack. I'd like someone else to test it out and see if they find the same issue.

Funkycornwall, Yes, that gogeter style is "messed up" and will be fixed in next patch. It will end up as a 4/4. I'd advise moving to a different style in the meantime. Musicstudent spotted the same thing (see link above http://www.pgmusic.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=380139&gonew=1#UNREAD

Reading this thread I'm confused. Are you talking about a style or a Realtrack playing 3/4 when it is labeled as 4/4?
I ask because RealTracks are labeled as EV or SW in the RealTrack title but styles typically do not a EV or SW feel identifier in the short style title.

Is there a way of making the grey buttons a bit brighter?
If I recall correctly, some work is planned to give us options here, including color.

Yes it was a 4/4 style but weirdly coming out in 3/4. The problem has been recognised and will be sorted out in the next update. It was the very first 2017 style I had tried out! Hopefully all the others will behave much better.
Thanks for the info Matt about the grey icons in the streamlined GUI. They are pretty small and the grey makes them difficult to see I think. Maybe it's my age but I think perhaps a brighter background would help the overall visibility.

Yes, those of us on Medicare with cataracts agree.
Peter correctly pointed out that the icons are larger than those found on many DAWs and the shades of gray color seems to be the "in thing" now. He also cited comments about the prior BIAB GUI with color and how some didn't think it looked modern enough. Clearly, you can't win for trying, but at least if he can provide options, we can do it the way we want. That's how I understood the plan. Don't forget, the 'classic' interface is still available (and improved, too) by Ctrl+T.
