I thought in the past you could activate two computers...your desktop and a laptop for remote use...for instance if you wanted to use it at a gig.
Is that no longer the case in BIAB 2017?

In this forum, Peter Gannon has mentioned a number of times over the last couple of years that BIAB can be installed on up to three machines. That hasn't changed. It seems as if the EULA might need updating.

'May be used on' and 'May be installed on' are 2 separate concepts.
'Use' implies a currently running instance.
The algorithm may be that PG allows installing to 3 different machines at once, but if it checks in to verify the license, that machine has reserved that license for use. Doesn't mean another machine couldn't do the same at another time, thus cancelling the license validation for the previous computer.
Again, I'm not a PGMusic representative, but this has always been the case in the past. PGMusic has always allowed a backup instance.
Try installing it to both machines, then check each machine's ability to run the program (independently, not simultaneously).
Hopefully PG will chime in.

The term PG Music uses is activations, and there are three. Rharv is also correct that they expect you will use one PC at a time, as I understand it.

they expect you will use one PC at a time, as I understand it. This is what ruined my 'PG Server' idea .. multiple (VM) systems running from one install and drive array. Imagine if you could have RB running in different rooms using different virtual machines .. even if they were all technically on the same server (either as VMs or as different users on an terminal server). That would be cool. Another reason it failed is the server OS wouldn't run my multi In/Out sound cards ..  /Yeah I tried it .. I made my music machine a 2008 R2 server for fun. Worked better than I thought. Had all kinds of cool stuff running on it, but no music. So I re-installed W7 .. it was the only legal OS I had available at the time.
