I downloaded a song (This Masquerade.MGU) from one of the BIAB groups. When I start to play it a plain white text box containing the song lyrics pops up and covers the tempo, key, and number of choruses info on the main screen. Do any of you know how to get rid of this box?
I've searched the user's guide and new features guide to no avail. I also worked with a PG support person for a while yesterday. He suggested that the problem is that the file was created using a PC version of BIAB which has different Lyric window options than the Mac version. This isn't a big deal but I do find it a bit annoying.

Let me add my voice to this. I too miss the ability to turn off the lyrics window. I never use it. And I bet there are a lot of Mac users out there who never use it either, and also miss the "feature" that was built into the earlier Windows and Mac versions to turn it off.
Hopefully Build 6 is on the near horizon and this little annoyance will go away.
But don't get me wrong, I appreciate the effort that Peter and the gang has made in getting this eagerly awaited release on the streets. It has a few deficiencies But,let's face it. BIAB ranks up there with the coolest software ever written. It's brilliant and it keeps getting better.
These are just growing pains.

If you don't need the lyrics, just click on 'blank lyrics' in the Edit menu. The annoying window (and the lyrics) will be gone.

Thanks, jazzmac, for reminding me of that. I do recall being able to get rid of the window by using that method. But, if I'm not mistaken, that deletes the lyrics completely. While I don't use the lyrics window per se, I sometimes do use lyrics on a lead sheet. I wouldn't necessarily want to delete the lyrics just to get to the info that gets hidden behind the lyrics window which always displays if the song has lyrics.
