I just got BIAB 2016 and then bought the Xtra PAK bundle (PAKs 1 & 2) but I can't seem to get any of the styles from the Xtra PAKs to work. When I select one of them (example: _BADLAND from PAK 1) and all I get is drums - no guitars or bass. Is there some other setting I need to select?
PG's website says that these styles will work with the 2016 version but you need to make sure you have build 437 or higher installed. Start off with that first.
"Note: The Xtra Styles use RealTracks from the Band-in-a-Box® 2016 and higher UltraPlusPAK, EverythingPAK, or Audiophile Edition, and require Build 437 or higher."

You don't specify what "package" you got. And do you really mean BIAB 2016? Many of the xtra styles may be using RT's which you don't have if you don't have all the RTs. Does that make sense?

It is unfortunate that the webpage for the Xtra Style PAKs does not warn you that some or all of the Xtra Styles will not work without the additional RealTrack purchases......
The Xtra Styles Pak page does contain the warning, twice in fact alongside each Pak description. (see image below)
Why don't you contact Sales and explain your error. I'm sure the 30 day refund policy will apply. Better still, since you own the 2016 version you could upgrade to the UltraPlusPak for $149 and get all the realtracks (2200 of them) plus lots of MIDI supertracks and a couple of thousand MIDI styles, etc.

There is still likely time to get this right. BIAB is a uniquely complex system to maneuver for the first time purchaser. The solution to this is "this forum" where you will find all the answers you need to get what you need.
For example here are a couple insider purchasing tips: 1) The end of year sales is the best time to purchase any BIAB package. The sales ongoing now will unlikely be repeated later in the year. 2) PG Music has a great 30 day full return policy - no questions asked. 3) The best recommendation for what to buy is the UltraPlus Pak - this is the most bang for your buck and will get you ALL the musical content you will need.
