Why 2017 version RB playback of BB songs in low volume when RB volume controls are pushed up to max?
Thanks for suggestions to boost RB volume.

Right click on the Volume slider, also check the master Volume at the bottom.

In the Mixer:
There is a slider between the channels and the AUX/Main sections.
I think its labeled All; make sure it is up.

In the bottom right set of sliders make sure the left most slider is up.
This is the main output labeled A1 (Audio 1)

If after trying everyone's suggestions it's still quiet, try clicking the FX button on that A1 strip and insert PGPeakLimit.
Move the gain slider up ... better?

I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

Thanks for the tips.

I also discovered that replacing ASIO driver with MME seems to have fixed the issue...I'll keep an eye on this change and report if any issues come up. Thanks again all.

When you listed your gear, you didn't say what kind of interface or sound card you are using. If it's the internal sound card on the MB in the Dell, yeah, MME probably will work better. Many of the chips in the MB don't work all that well with ASIO.

If you are using a dedicated interface that supports ASIO, you will want to use ASIO.

Using the proper driver is important. BUT.... the sound chip set has to be designed to run the driver efficiently.

If you get into running a DAW with multiple tracks and especially if you use VSTi's and other kinds of midi synths, using the proper interface and driver will become a necessity. That's where MME will cause more problems than it solves and ASIO will shine.

Since MME works well for now, enjoy it and make some music.

BTW: I also have a factory Dell laptop and MME is the driver I use with BB in it. When I multitrack in the Dell, I have to switch to my Focusrite interface and use ASIO.
