Occasionally while playing a live (almost) gig, someone will sit in, or I can see people would like to continue dancing. It would be nice to be able to reach down and add a chorus or two. Currently that is not possible without a big gap of silence while the song reloads. And, if that is possible, perhaps there could be a way to jump to an ending at the end of a phrase when the tune isn't working well.

That would simulate the situation of a live band, when somebody asks the musicians to play longer an in-progress tune.

Well, I have to admit, this exact situation has occurred to me many time with live bands, where we are just nearing the end of a song and the floor suddenly fills up. It's easy to signal to deliver another chorus to the rest of the band members.
It would be great if it were possible to 'include an additional repeat chorus' as long as this was done before the end of the song was committed.

I thought this function can be performed by the Conductor feature in BIAB.
From Conductor Help file:
Example uses of the Conductor:
In this example, we don’t have custom sections set, so the default sections apply (middle chorus = section 4 etc.).
- Jump to the start of middle choruses during playback (press "4").
- Loop the middle chorus (press S, which is Loop Section).
- Jump to the end of the song (press 6 ).
- Pause the song (Backspace).
- Go back 1 chorus (Ctrl+A).
- Go ahead 1 chorus (Shift+A).
At the end of the current chorus, go back 1 section, press Y then Ctrl+S.
Note: Pressing the Y sets the mode to do the action at the end of the current chorus.
These actions can also be done with the MIDI keyboard. See the MIDI keyboard mapping diagram for details.

Good points Charlie and I agree.
I was never able to get the Conductor to do exactly what I wanted. Also the Jukebox gives me similar issues, not sure what to expect next.

No Conductor (still) on Mac at all in the first place, so +1.
But I'm pretty sure this one is near impossible to implement into BBox as it's constructed right now, though, with the required rendering time and all that.
Just because you can, doesn't mean you should!
