From day one I have used the option "pause until midi or key received" to trigger play with the first touch of my keyboard - I also have a foot pedal to send spacebar but prefer the midi signal.
This sends a midi signal via thru so I need to have midi thru enabled under "midi options" I also discovered that, to avoid hearing a thru instrument playing, I have to set "boost midi velocity" to something like minus 50. Unfortunately this seems to weaken the midi signal so much that play is sometimes not triggered.
I could mute the thru track and save it with each song but is there a global way of either muting thru or sending a stronger midi signal without hearing anything? I use a SD50 midi synth
