since you guys are geniuses and always seem to have an answer to my questions I will ask here since I can't seem to find it anywhere else .....(And this may be a really dumb question) I have a newer mac and would like to install isotope ozone 3 on it that is some great software I know and love ..it is old though from 2010...it seems to install but can't find it in logic 10 biab or MainStage when i look for plug ins? might it just be too old? Thanks in advance:)

I don't know about Macs but I do know about Ozone 3. Versions 3 and 4 were my favorite. I'm not as happy with the later ones. Hope it works for you.

I'm still running Ozone 3 here, on a PC though (windows 10). Don't use it as much as I did, but it still works fine.

If it installed, then you should be looking in your programs for the command to re-scan your plugins. You'll need to know Ozone's new location to tell the scanner.

Thanks in advance:) first off, is it even compatible with Mac? Some things like BB and Sonar for example are either not compatible at all or require the Mac version. Next, did you specify where it should install and remember that folder's name? Much of the older stuff will work on newer machines, but not always. Somewhere on the box or the Ozone website, you should be able to find the minimum specs.... in this case, you will likely be well in excess of the minimum which can also present problems with compatibility. My first DAW software and it's interface became instantly obsolete when I did an OS upgrade on the machine for business software I was also running.

That's a good point, Herb. The current Ozone 7 runs on Macs but only on 10.8 or above, the Intel Macs. But Jeff did say it installed, and that's a good sign.

If you go to your programs folder and find Izotope, can you locate the Izotope dll file? (mine is called Ozone4.dll)
If so, you can usually maually add VSTs (by navigating to the location of the dll) in most Daws.
Then when you load it this way, if it is incompatible you'll usually get a message letting you know.
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

this one is comparable with mac as they gave me a freebie of the mac version....it is old tho....my mac was purchased in 2015
