Hi All,

Here is another song for you to critique, I am anxious for some good constructive comments and ideas. As I always value everyones input here.

This is another song written by my friend that wrote the last song that I posted "Keep Me On The Mountian"

I kept this one simple, as it is a sad song. I used all RealTracks. However, I fear that I went overboard on the fiddle at the end of the song and I am not sure if the vocals should be a tad bit louder.

Thanks again for listening to another one of my songs

Danny

Good song, I enjoyed it.

Nothing to say on improvement.

Keep it up.

Not at all. Really good balance. Great use of RTs - Did you do much plugin work on them?

I wouldn't boost the voice but I would pull back on the guitar in the mid range no more than 3 db just to clear some competing frequencies shared with the voice. Danny my hearing isn't great but when I am playing my acoustic it tends to "eat up" my voice - if I ease off on my playing intensity I can hear my voice better. So if your acoustic is sharing the middle of your pan I'd roll off the guitar some. This is being picky on my part. Ron says its good and from where I stand I agree. Well done.

Hey Ron, Thanks for the nice comments and for listening to this song.

Ian, I didn't use any plugins on this song, just used them as they were generated, just a lot of editing and splicing to get the sound I wanted.

I took advice and pulled back on the guitar in the mid range, I liked it... thanks for the good advice!

It is in the same spot, let k=me know what you think.

Wow - what a difference in the space feel - your voice, slide, fiddle stand out so much more with that mid-range dip in the acoustic. As Trax said, you've really got those RTs on the Right Track.

Great song let's not forget. You're bringing the best out.

Danny, the whole production sounds perfect to me. Very enjoyable indeed. Nice song with great production and vocal.
If you forced me at gunpoint to make an adjustment it would be to pull up the bass a teensy tad, but I wouldn't fret over it!
Thanks for starting my day right with this one.

John

Hi Danny,

This is a beautiful song. You have an excellent voice for this setting. All the splicing with RealTracks was well worth it, the production is excellent. I'm looking forward to hearing the next one, now

Noel
