Hi,
I see that PGmusic are selling the add on pack for half price. I have just bought the 2017 megapak, and I was wondering if the extra styles bundle is something i already have, or would the xtra styles pak give me more realtracks...
To be honest i have only just started using it and am nowhere near worrying about any extra realtracks, but if it's going cheap!!

I don't think you get more RealTracks. It appears to depend on you having them separately. HTH From the page here - http://www.pgmusic.com/xtrastyles.php?os=win"The Xtra Styles use RealTracks from the Band-in-a-Box® 2016 and higher UltraPlusPAK, EverythingPAK, or Audiophile Edition, and require Build 437 or higher. " The link appears to be the 2017 version, but the date referenced may be outdated. Anyway, instead of boasting about additional RTs it seems to say you need to already have them. That said, I know some people really like them.

That is the page I was looking at. As i say, I have only just got BIAB and am a long way off of understanding it. I just thought that that if they had reduced the price i might as well buy them while they are cheaper.
I guess that they reduce them fairly regular, so i can wait until i know what i am doing before getting more.

Just for clarification... the XTRA styles are "style" files (not "RealTracks" files) that reference/point to RealTracks that the style expects to find previously saved to the proper RealTracks folder on your computer. If you don't already have that particular RealTrack, it isn't going to work properly. It requires either having the UltraPluaPak, the EverythingPak, or the Audiphile Edition of BIAB to work, as those are the ones with ALL the RealTracks.
If you have the BIAB ProPak (the entry level version of BIAB), or the MegaPak, then do not order the XTRA styles as you will not be happy.
The purchase page is pretty clear about this, but if you aren't up to speed on the different "PAKS", you will be disappointed if you did order it and you only have the ProPak or the MegaPak.
That being said, XTRA styles are something you yourself could potentially create (by identifying which RealTracks to mix together as a full band style), but it would take a lot of knowledge about each track and how they would interplay with each other, as well as a lot of time to put them together. PGMusic has done a wonderful job of identifying RealTracks that work well together to create different band styles and providing them to us as the new XTRA Styles.
