Has anyone been able to connect and or use Midi Guitar 2 (By Jam Origin) with either BB or RB?
It seems like BB and RB want to see .DLL files etc...and it seems that Midi Guitar 2 is it's own application (EXE), although I thought it had a DLL as well.
Any help would be appreciated...
Not to mention I am having Midi issues in general but I'll ask that in a separate post.

Hi Tony
I don't think it works the way you are maybe expecting. Read the help file and go through the introduction....that will perhaps help you to get a view as to how it works. I tried the trial in the past but for the life of me, I cannot remember whether I used it into (or out of) RB/BB. I will try again with it and see if I can get some results to help.

Den, Yes I think you are right...I don't think it works like a regular plugin. I thought it had a DLL but I couldn't find one. Anyways I wanted it cause I'm more adept at guitar than keyboard...just for making up my own little ditties...

Whilst I can't remember how I got it to work, I do remember being very impressed with it. I was using the demo, which broke into noise every so often, but when the sounds were coming through, it sounded very good.....getting my Strat to sound like a trumpet/piano/saxophone was great. I just didn't have the cash to buy a licence unfortunately. (My wife was very clear about that!)

You may already know but there are some videos on Youtube which may help. I have a feeling that's how I got it set up with RB when I tried before.

MIDI Guitar (MG) is not a plug-in (per se) - it USES plug-ins. Think of it like an external MIDI keyboard synth but inside the PC. It's PRIMARILY for INPUTTING MIDI notes and chords to record, trigger VSTi's, or to send outside the PC to external MIDI synth HW to trigger that HW. The MIDI notes/chords it generates can be captured as MIDI input into BIAB, RB or any DAW. However, you will need a way to route that MIDI using free Loopebe2 or MIDIOX or whatever. MG2 itself is not a, and is not seen as a, MIDI "port." http://www.nerds.de/en/loopbe1.html (use to have a free 2 port Loopbe2 - I guess they REALLY want you to really buy loopbe30 for ~$20, the 2 port free one was probably cutting into sales too much) http://www.midiox.com/?http://www.midiox.com/moxdown.htm The "think of it as a keyboard synth" is because like a DAW you open MG and SCAN for VST's and VSTi's and PLAY them using your guitar via MIDI Guitar. There are a lot of other complex ways of using it - but you really need to understand PC MIDI routing, use of virtual MIDI router/virtual patch bays, setting up complex audio routing inside PC, etc. Good Luck Larry
