I can't update, it says I don't have the files in c:. I have been loading updates for over 10 years and never had this happen, my files are in the right location so what's up here?????

If you have installed BB to the usual location, which is c:\bb, make sure that this is the same directory. "C:\" wouldn't be a location to install BB to, because that is the root folder.

That's right, however for years i kept BIAB installed on a separate drive or partition because the folders are simply too large for my C partition, with Audiophile about 1.5 TB. My C partition needs to be regularly backed-up, so i keep the C boot partition down to about 200 GB (on a SSD drive) these days. This since windows generally has sometimes fatal (& too many?) errors, and has to be reinstalled, once in a while. That's quite easy done with something like Seagate DiskWizard.
So I recommend either to use the original BIAB drive if you have and use it, or create a separate drive or partition of about 2 TB for your BIAB (Audiophile) stuff. I install f.i. my programs even in a separate partition, and also use a separate USB drive (or internal drive or partition) dedicated to BIAB only. I rerouted in my case the standard installation to L:\BIAB 2017, and if necessary rerouted the RealTracks and Drums folders (via preferences if needed) to: L:\BIAB 2017\RealTracks\ and L:\BIAB 2017\Drums\. -F

Message says I don't have 2017 installed. Not that long ago I installed 456 no problem, I just installed Realtracks update 1/20/17 no problem. BIAB says I should have C:\bb as destination which is where real tracks went but Biab says I don't have it. I can get styles from 11/16 so the program is there, that's all I can tell you. If I need a reinstall, I will. Thanks

Is the problem specific to the Build 457 patch? What about if you try the build 456 patch.

I don't know what happened, 456 would not go this time, I did a reinstall and everything is fine. 457 went in no problem. I was surprised I didn't have to put in the id numbers again but that's okay with me, lol. thanks for the help.
