I use a UK PC Keyboard and notice when working in BIAB I can use the # key (which is next to the Enter key)as normal. If I work in RealBand I have to use the USA keyboard arrangement to enter # (use the £ sign above the number 3) Anyone know if there's a setting within RB to change to UK style keyboard. Just curious how BIAB knows what keyboard I'm using.....but RB doesn't ?? (Entering lots of a sharps # in a song is a bit of a brain pain in RB.)

There are lots of .INI files in the Realband folder you could check, but I have no idea where you might find this setting, if it exists.
If you do tinker with any INI files make a backup before doing so.
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

Kev, what happens if you just press the number 3 (without the shift key)
You shouldn't have to press the Shift key. Biab and RB should 'understand' what you really mean.

Thanks very much for your quick replies guys.
Rharv. I'll have a look at the .ini files but unless it's something really obvious don't really feel confident to mess about with them. (Will back up everything anyway).
Video track. I'll try that and let you know. I just assumed that it would still show as a 3. The US keyboard still has a three but doesn't have the £ sign above.....instead has the #.
I would have thought that if BIAB recognised the UK # key then RB would too.....but obviously not.

BiaB and RB are different at their core.
RB has adopted some BiaB features but they are very different.
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

Thanks Rharv. Yeah I suspected that ......but still thought something as basic as keyboard input would have been allied in both programs?
Videotrack Yay! I tried pressing the 3 on its own and it does (as you suggest) produce a # in the chord bar.
