Greetings!

I got a new Audio interface (IK multimedia iRig Duo Pro) it does not have a dedicated driver, so I'm using ASIO4all. I'm having a some issues:
1. I don't see jbridge as a midi input.

2. I have ASIO4all selected as the audio device in settings.
3. When I try to play a song, I get a weird feedback loop happening, even the intro click is echoing.....when the music starts, it cuts in and out every 1/2 second.

I'm wondering if maybe it's a buffer issue? I'm using win 7 64. I have no midi input at the moment as well......can anyone help?,
thanks so much!

JBridge is NOT a MIDI port so you won't see it as one.

JBridge is a BRIDGE from a 32-bit host (like BIAB or RB or Powertracks) to 64-BIt plugins (like or 64-bit only Sampletank 3, or Addictive Drums 2, or 64-bit Kontakt)

To use the IK multimedia iRig Duo Pro with MIDI to/from your PC you will have to connect it to an existing MIDI port on your PC/Laptop or whatever.

As to your second question

feedback could be how you have your audio path routed to/from PC (ASIO4ALL), are you using Direct Monitor? etc.

If audio has other issues (buzzing, long delays, stuttering in audio, etc.) sounds like you need to adjust ASIO4ALL buffers and settings.

I have some IK HW but you need to realize any IK i"stuff" hardware is PRIMARILY for Apple i"crap" hardware with PCs and Androids use a complete afterthought.

Good Luck
Larry

Very interesting, I've dealt with jbridge before, but I didn't realize the ASIO4All would be so confusing to set up, because it works great for Reason 8, Pianoteq, and Digital Performer.....thanks for your info.

I would look at the ASIO4ALL settings. Sure, you can just select it and it often works. Other times you have to mess with the settings a little bit.

Launch the interface and click on the wrench icon (as the default is the simple interface). From there, you can specify exactly which sound card and ports to use. One thing I find is that when I just "select ASIO4ALL", it sometimes selecte the wrong soundcard (since I have a built-in and an external), so I have to fix that in the interface. There are also some buffer and mapping settings if I remember correctly.

Just a thought.

I'm still getting a feedback loop, and stops/Stutters, etc. Can someone tell me why ASIO4all seems to work great for all my other Audio programs, but doesn't work for BIAB?? Or can someone gives your buffer settings that works well? I'm using win 7 64..... thanks!!

All I can say, Ed, is to return to factory settings, then very carefully look at all the options you have set for your BIAB sound card.

If it truly is a loop, then something somewhere is pointed back to itself.

I just looked a the page for the IK Multimedia iRig Pro Duo and I see it has a USB connection to connect to your computer, as well as MIDI in/out (although I've never seen 1/8" connectors for MIDI before), 2 line/instrument inputs, and two outputs (which would generally correspond to left/right stereo).

Please let us know how you have everything wired. It seems to me that you should connect the iRig to your computer via USB, and that becomes your sound card interface. That should establish both audio input/output and MIDI input/output.

In BIAB, you would select the iRig USB-in as your input device and the iRig USB-out as your output device. If you want to hear anything, you need to either connect headphones to the iRig or connect an amp to the line out connections. if you use MIDI, then you can select the iRig MIDI in (to receive data from a keyboard for example), but if you are only using VSTi's or DXi's for MIDI output, then you don't need to select the iRig as your output device (but if you do, it will by default sent MIDI data out that connection to the keyboard or external hardware MIDI device connected to the iRig.

In ASIO4ALL, you should go to the expert view (click on the wrench icon) and make sure your input and output ports are set correctly, as ASIO4ALL may be seeing multiples (for example, it may separate out the headphone out from the line-out, but I don't know without looking at it).

Don't know if this helps any, but if you are truly getting a loop, then something is connected back on itself somewhere. For example, if you connected the line-out from the iRig to line-in of the onboard computer soundcard. Not saying you did, but just an example.

Thanks John, I know I have the iRig configured correctly, because my midi and audio settings are perfect in Reason, Digital Performer, Finale, and Pianoteq......no Stutters or other issues, my midi and audio latency seem to be fine.
BIAB is the only program that is giving me issues, this is why I'm confused........if my buffer and other settings work well in all other programs, WHY do I have problems with BIAB? Weird......also, I really appreciate the comments and assistance!

Hi Ed. I'll just comment on your last question because I see this reasoning cited often: "it works fine in my other audio applications so why doesn't it work in BIAB etc.". Of course it's a logical question, but I think there is an explanation.

Based on my experience and buoyed by some comments Peter Gannon has made, I can guess that the answer is that BIAB works quite differently from those other programs. In SONAR, for example, the disk speed and usage is critical; RAM and CPU, not as much. You will hear horrible sounds if you manage to peg the CPU in SONAR by using too much in processing plugins, but that's why they tell you to write a processed track to a straight audio file and continue only with that, turning off the plugin.

It is different in BIAB, where the CPU usage is always critical. There is a great deal going on with artificial intelligence. This is why the single-core Geekbench score is the best indicator of likely success in BIAB. Also, everything from disk is loaded into RAM when the program regenerates a song. While I have never heard of anyone running out of RAM in BIAB, even those using 32-bit OS where they have only 3.2 GB max RAM to use, it is possible that bad RAM might show up and affect only BIAB because BIAB is the only program maxing out the use of that RAM.

Just a guess.

Thanks so much Matt, I did think that maybe this might have something to do with it, but I'm thinking now my best bet is to get a new interface that has dedicated drivers and super low latency, I'm thinking about the new 2nd gen Scarlett or MOTU 626......I remember other threads with users saying they had issues with ASIO4All.......good to hear from you my friend......

Not a fan of ASIO4ALL. It's not ASIO at all.

Nice to chat with you, too, Ed.

There's another option
ftp://ftp.steinberg.net/Download/Hardware/ASIO/

32bit Windows
copy asiodxfd.dll file to C:\Windows\System32
goto C:\Windows\System32 click on cmd.exe
at prompt right click paste RegSvr32 asiodxfd.dll
Enter

64bit Windows
copy asiodxfd.dll file to C:\Windows\SysWOW64
goto C:\Windows\SysWOW64 right click on cmd.exe run as admin
at prompt right click paste RegSvr32 asiodxfd.dll
Enter

Here's a zip with both 32 & 64 ASIO driver, if you run the asiosetup (right click "Run as Admin..) it should install it automatically instead of the manual way above.
DropBox Asio32-64bit.zip

64 to C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Asio
32 to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steinberg\Asio

In a 64bit app choose
64bit > Generic Low Latency Driver

In a 32bit app choose
32bit > ASIO DirectX Full Duplex

I've used that Steinberg driver a few times and it works well. I received with some Steinberg products I purchased, so didn't realize it was freely available. Thanks for that Pipeline.

Not sure if it helps but there was a thread about using Windows 10 and built in drivers to replace ASIO4ALL Craig Anderton from memory. Maybe an upgrade to Windows 10 might help? I love it. :-) Also check out the zoom UAC-2 interface which uses USB 3. I use it without hiccups. I do have some dramas (eg last night) from time to time with feedback caused by video cams switching their mics on when my video software was updated, which caused a loop with the audio interface. A long shot, but you never know. BIAB is a strange beast. my midi patch and cc commands for my external units stopped working when I upgraded to 2017 and found it was in part due to the channels not being correct in midi channel options. I didn't change them and they never caused a problem previously. One lost unit was due to a loose midi cable (sigh).

202 New RealTracks Released with Band-in-a-Box 2026!

With Band-in-a-Box® 2026, we've released 202 incredible new RealTracks (in sets 468-488) in a variety of genres—featuring your most requested styles!

Jazz, Funk & World (Sets 468-475):
Our new jazz, funk & blues RealTracks include a groovin’ collection of RealTracks and RealDrums! These include more requested “soul jazz” RealTracks featuring artists Neil Swainson (bass), Charles Treadway (organ), Brent Mason (guitar), and Wes Little (drums). There are new “smooth jazz” styles (4), which include a RealTracks first: muted trumpet, as well as slick new smooth jazz brushes options for drums. Blues lovers will be thrilled—there are more “classic acoustic blues” styles, including guitar (5), bass (4), and drums (10) with blues master Colin Linden, featuring understated and tasty background acoustic soloing, plus brushes drums and acoustic bass. There are also new electric blues RealTracks, including electric blues with PG favorite Johnny Hiland (3) and soulful electric slide guitar from Colin Linden (4). If you love funk & gospel, there are great new options this year, including gospel organ (3) from Charles Treadway, as well as new funk, tango, and rock ’n’ roll drums (3) and bass (1). And for big, bold arrangements, we have uptempo soul horns (4) featuring a three-part hip horn section with options for a full mix or stems of each individual horn — plus an accompanying rhythm section (4) of drums, bass, guitar, and electric piano!

Rock & Pop (Sets 476–482):
Our new rock & pop RealTracks bring a powerful mix of requested favorites, fresh genres, and modern chart-inspired styles! We have more of our popular “Producer Layered Acoustic Guitars (15)” featuring Band-in-a-Box favorite Brent Mason. We’ve continued our much-requested disco styles (10), and added new Celtic guitar (5) with a more basic, accessible approach than our previous Drop-D or DADGAD offerings. There are also highly requested yacht rock styles (17), inspired by the smooth, polished soft-rock sound of the late ’70s and early ’80s — laid-back grooves, silky electric pianos, warm textures, elegant harmonic movement, and pristine production aesthetics. Fans of heavier styles will love our new glam metal (13), capturing the flashy, high-energy sound of ’80s arena-ready guitar rock. We also have a set of rootsy modern-folk rock (18), with a warm, organic sound combining contemporary folk textures and driving acoustic strumming. And we’ve added lots of new modern pop styles (16) — the kinds of sounds you’re hearing on the radio today, featuring exciting new drums, synths, and cutting-edge RealTracks arrangements.

Country, & Americana (Sets 483–488):
Our new country & Americana RealTracks deliver a rich collection of acoustic, electric, and roots-inspired styles! We have new country pop (9) with legendary guitarist Brent Mason. There is also a potpourri (14) of bouzouki, guitars, banjo, and more, perfect for adding texture and character to contemporary acoustic arrangements. We’ve added funky country guitar (5) with PG favorite Brent Mason, along with classic pedal steel styles (5) featuring steel great Doug Jernigan. There are more country songwriter styles (8) that provide intimate, rootsy foundations for storytelling and modern Americana writing. Finally, we have “background soloing” acoustic guitar (12) with Brent Mason — simpler, but still very tasty acoustic lines designed to sit beautifully behind vocals or act as a subtle standalone solo part.

Check out all the 202 new RealTracks (in sets 468-488)!

And, if you are looking for more, the 2026 49-PAK (for $49) includes an impressive collection of 20 bonus RealTracks, featuring exciting and inspiring additions to add to your RealTracks library. There are also new indie-folk styles with guitar, bass, 6-string bass used as a high-chording instrument, acoustic guitar, and banjo. Plus, dedicated "cymbal fills" RealDrums provide an added layer that work very well with low-key folky styles with other percussion.
