Hi, i programmed a style change in "bar settings" for a middle 8th section in a BIAB arrangement. Noticed that in 457 and now the new 458 version the style change, and back later, just don't happen .... am i doing something wrong? It worked in BIAB 2016 if i recall it right. PS Mostly Realtracks selected in the main style, and only MIDI (except drums) in the section. - F

Did you remember to regenerate the arrangement, so the changes could be made?

Yes, regenerated, done it all again several times even, and not frozen .... just imported the BIAB song file in to realband, had (still) to regenerate the halftime realtracks by manually setting them to halftime, and realband sees the style changes BTW, but skips on some tracks what goes beyond the style change for the middle eight. Regenerating the whole tracks fixed that, but ignored the style change then. - F

Can you name the styles that you used, so perhaps we could try with the same data?

here y'e go:_REGGAEB.STY (has 3 or four half timers, and also full timers), and at bar 66 MAYTAL1.STY for eight bars, then back to the first style. Funny too was that after bar number 133 or so the rest of two realtracks were missing, but in Realband they generated correctly ... thanks, F

PS it's gettting late here off to zzzz now. OK, you didn't say how many choruses or how many bars so presuming that there is only one chorus, and for all intents and purposes let's say 96 bars. You have the following style changes: Bar 1: _REGGAEB.STY Bar 66: MAYTAL1.STY Bar 74: _REGGAEB.STY (Incidentally, bar 66 is an unusual bar to change a style unless there is an odd number of lead in bars etc) I can confirm that while the Style name changes in the display, the style itself doesn't change. I thought that this might be related to a RealTrack going to a MIDI style, then going to a RealTrack Style. So I changed that 8 bars at 66 to use another RealTracks style (_BOSFUNK) and noticed that the original reggae style kept playing but the _BOSFUNK played over the top of it for those 8 bars. Also, bars went missing. I tried recreating with different bar counts and style changes and got mixed (incorrect) results. I concur that I'm either doing it wrong also, or there is a problem. BiaB 2017 (458)

Hi, thanks for your efforts. Yep, almost never use the chorusing repeats, and no repeats on this one. I also think there's some works for Andrew et Al to be done, regarding style changes, though 458 seems a serious update so far. If i find something i'll let you know, but for now i give it up. Ain't fun, eh?

I have the same problem. Songs with sybstyles that either don't change or work erraticly, with 456, 457 and now 458. I didn't have this problem with 2016.
