I'm not sure if it's just me but I'm sure I have taken a real instrument and exported it as midi to my daw. I could be wrong (being a new user), but this works sometimes and sometimes it does not. Sometimes it only wants me to export as an audio file even if I try to force it by holding the shift key.
I think I have started with a project with midi sounds, changed them to real sounds and then tried to export to my daw as midi and it will not. I have then tried to change the real instruments in BIAB back to a midi file and it will not.
I know this may sound confusing but I am a little confused right now. Thanks
Some RealTracks have associated MIDI data which has been manually transcribed from the actual musical performance. Not all RealTracks have this, and the MIDI performance represents a (usually good) approximation of the original performance, but not not contain every nuance. In the captures below, Guitar 1 (a real Track) has MIDI notation, however, Bass does not:

I think if you look at the header you will see a green line under some RTS. I think that means there is a midi version of what you hear in the RT. Wendy. learning all the time,or trying too.

Here is what the user manual says about the green underlines:
At the top of the screen, if a track has RealTracks, but is NOT a RealCharts track, then the track name is green.
Real Instrument charts: If a track has a RealChart (which is a MIDI representation; some were done manually, others automatically as in using a digital piano), the track name is green and underlined with a short line.
RealGuitar charts: If a track has RealChart, and is a guitar track with accurate tab and on-screen guitar fretboard display, then it is green and underlined with a long line.
So, if the track name is just green, with NO underline at all (neither short nor long), then it does not have a RealChart associated with it.
