This is Deadwood, I composed the music with BIAB. I wrote this song trying to link the old west feel and the style of music that influenced me. I hope you enjoy it and I appreciate and honestly consider feedback.

There’s a bitter smell down in Deadwood, empty hearts, bloodied souls
Nothing grows down in Deadwood, burns the body black as coal
Costs are paid by the son’s and daughter’s cramps the body, steals the mind
No one’s treasure ever goes unpunished, makes the pale light winter blind
I’m going down to the river, wash my sins, pray for grace
Bury me in the muddy water; find my comfort from the grave
Sun rains down on the back of the dead man; heart’s grown cold like a prison cell
Drought breathes down and it takes the good land, leaving sand dry as hell
Pay the red sky distant quarters from the fields of sun dried shame
Sweat drips off the burning bodies, the price that’s taken for the pain
I’m going down to the river, wash my sins, pray for grace
Bury me in the muddy water; find my comfort from the grave
Take me alive or let me die, lead me to heaven or to hell
Lay me in the winter solace, underneath the freedom bell
Call me out to some distant valley; bleed me dry to die alone
Lay me down six feet under; bring relief to this weary soul
Sun dries rain down in Deadwood, cracks the skin without a sound
Paint the blue sky with shades of anger, dead men sold by the pound
I’m going down to the river, wash my sins, pray for grace
Bury me in the muddy water; find my comfort from the grave
I’m going down to the river, wash my sins, pray for grace
Bury me in the muddy water; find my comfort from the grave
I’m going down to the river, wash my sins, pray for grace
Bury me in the muddy water; find my comfort from the grave
