in una song quando imposto lo stile jazz swing ZZJAZZ.STY il basso "va in 2",come si dice, invece vorrei che andasse in 4 e fosse un vero walking bass marcando i quarti.
Come posso fare?

arrossisco...putroppo usandolo da molto poco manco so cosa sia una traccia realtrack e tanto meno sostituirla alla midi.
Cosa dovrei guardare?

Ci sono 3 possibili soluzioni al tuo quesito, una midi, una audio (con le RealTracks come ti è già stato suggerito da doctormidi e una terza possibilità consistente nel registrare direttamente tu la traccia che ti interessa.
Puoi utilizzare uno strumento collegato via midi o registrare sulla traccia audio un'esecuzione Live della parte strumentale.
Congeliamo intanto quest'ultima possibilità, non ho sufficienti informazioni su di te come strumentista e soprattutto sulla tua attrezzatura per azzardare consigli.
Per sapere invece se con la tua versione puoi scegliere la seconda (le RealTracks) cerca tra i menu del tuo programma: Di quali aggiunte dispongo?.
Mi sembra di ricordare comunque che in tutte le versioni di BiaB sia rintracciabile cliccando in alto sulla voce Opzioni.
La finestra che vedrai ti mostra un elenco dettagliato di tutto ciò che il tuo software ha o non ha!
A parer mio però, dubito che tu abbia RealTracks non sapendo cosa sono! perciò ti consiglio di proseguire e leggere quanto scriverò ora, potrebbe essere l'unica strada che può portarti ad un risultato.
La firma nei miei post contiene un link che ti porta ad una pagina dove ho salvato (a disposizione di tutti) i lavori che ho fatto nel corso di una decina di anni e che considero ancora validi sull'uso di BiaB, nonostante le nuove produzioni abbiano inserito cambiamenti e novità importanti.
Se non erro in uno dei tuoi Post hai specificato che utilizzi la versione 2012.5 del programma, non hai indicato per quale S.O. ma comunque provo a vedere se riesco ad instradarti lo stesso nella giusta direzione.
Nella pagina appena indicata troverai un link titolato 6 Tutorial, ti permette di scaricare un file compresso in formato RAR contenente altri 6 archivi RAR, decomprimi quello nominato 1_creare_uno_stile_ibrido, al suo interno troverai 13 file utilizzati per la creazione del Tutorial descritto passo per passo nel 14mo file in formato Pdf.
Se lo leggi . . . tutto, con attenzione, scoprirai una delle strade possibili per risolvere il tuo problema.
Ti pregherei di non considerare o giudicare più di tanto la qualità dei risultati ottenuti con il Tutorial, ma soprattutto la soluzione "tecnica" (se mi concedi questa definizione), in pratica il suggerimento per una procedura che ha delle potenzialità enormi.
Per chi non può permettersi RealTracks e RealDrums . . . può essere un "percorso" da non sottovalutare.
Ti pregherei di farmi sapere se quanto ho scritto ti è stato o no utile o comprensibile.

Il programma ha una funzione
che può essere d’aiuto in queste situazioni, si chiama Fare uno stile ibrido e si seleziona dal menu Stili.
Non trovo questo menu in BIAB2016

l'obiettivo è poi quello di cambiare la linea del basso non per tutto il brano ma solo nel B del brano...da battuta a battuta... fare andare il basso in 4 a swing marcato...

Il menu c'è!
Pensavo fosse intuibile che essendo datati i miei Tutorial avessero riferimenti a Menu e funzioni che in versioni più recenti del software potrebbero trovarsi in posizioni diverse, o addirittura con nomi diversi!
Del resto in uno dei tuoi Post avevo letto che utilizzi la versione 2012.5, quindi non ho ritenuto necessario puntualizzare su questa possibilità che ritenevo inutile.
Al momento io utilizzo BiaB 2017 ma se non sbaglio con la 2016 trovi quel Menu con lo stesso percorso che vedo adesso:
File/Creatore di Stili/Fare uno stile Ibrido...
A parte questo però, guarda che il programma ha un Aiuto eccellente, con un motore di ricerca potente, nel tuo caso sarebbe stato sufficiente digitare Ibrido e in un attimo avresti avuto a portata di mano i collegamenti a tutte le informazioni necessarie, compresa la posizione del Menu.
Attento che con questo non ti sto criticando, ti sto solo suggerendo una funzione utilissima, semplicissima e di enorme "aiuto".

Tutto è possibile, ma possibile non è sinonimo di semplice.
Ecco sinteticamente un esempio (non è l'unica strada!) per risolvere il tuo problema senza utilizzare uno strumento musicale, cioè lavorando solo davanti al monitor con mouse e tastiera.
1) - ascolta un po di Styles fino a rintracciarne almeno uno (meglio 2 o 3) che possieda già una traccia di Basso come la desideri (esiste, ma devi cercarla tu), non importa per ora se l'esecuzione si trova nella sezione A o B.
2) - fai una copia d entrambi i file di Stile, cioè quello che avresti usato dall’inizio (chiamiamolo STILE1) e quello trovato contenente la traccia di Basso che ti interessa (chiamiamolo STILE2). (In realtà non è indispensabile fare copie, ma lo consiglio sempre a chi esperimenta senza esperienza, è inutile correre il rischio di rovinare i file originali)
3) - carica per primo nel programma il file STILE1, sostituendo la parte di Basso con quella dello STILE2 (questo è creare uno stile ibrido), salva il nuovo Stile col nome STILE3
4) - ora riparti con il tuo arrangiamento caricando lo STILE1, alla misura nella quale desideri cambiare il Basso, effettua un cambio di Stile, e ovviamente il nuovo stile dovrà essere STILE3, che dovrai cambiare ancora tornando allo STILE1 alla misura che fa comodo a te.
Tutte le operazioni necessarie ad eseguire quanto appena descritto sono illustrate nei miei Tutorial e nei miei Video, e OVVIAMENTE nel Manuale di Band-in-a-Box, senza escludere l’Aiuto in linea del programma.

A costo di apparire noioso: quanto descritto non è l'unica via per risolvere il tuo problema, e spesso è necessario ripetere più volte la procedura prima di ottenere un buon risultato.
Non è nemmeno facile, ma è possibile, ed il tempo necessario per arrivarci spesso dipende dalla propria volontà

With Band-in-a-Box® 2026, we've released 202 incredible new RealTracks (in sets 468-488) in a variety of genres—featuring your most requested styles!
Jazz, Funk & World (Sets 468-475):
Our new jazz, funk & blues RealTracks include a groovin’ collection of RealTracks and RealDrums! These include more requested “soul jazz” RealTracks featuring artists Neil Swainson (bass), Charles Treadway (organ), Brent Mason (guitar), and Wes Little (drums). There are new “smooth jazz” styles (4), which include a RealTracks first: muted trumpet, as well as slick new smooth jazz brushes options for drums. Blues lovers will be thrilled—there are more “classic acoustic blues” styles, including guitar (5), bass (4), and drums (10) with blues master Colin Linden, featuring understated and tasty background acoustic soloing, plus brushes drums and acoustic bass. There is also a potpourri (14) of bouzouki, guitars, banjo, and more, perfect for adding texture and character to contemporary acoustic arrangements. We’ve added funky country guitar (5) with PG favorite Brent Mason, along with classic pedal steel styles (5) featuring steel great Doug Jernigan. There are more country songwriter styles (8) that provide intimate, rootsy foundations for storytelling and modern Americana writing.
