Ok, this is my country submission for the XtraStyles 3 Contest. Like an idiot, I forgot to paste the link in the contest section on my original post, but I spotted it, and I hope the PG folks realize that I have so desperately attempted to correct that error.

Using the Passion Style from Xtra Styles 3. Again, my lovely wife Gayle is singing along with me on this one--we rehearsed it in the mountains then came home and recorded it--old school.

I love the feel of this song... It has a great late 60's / early 70's vibe. Some really cool tracks as well - excellent vocals by you and Gayle.

This just reeks pure unabashed joy! Totally uplifting from start to finish David and Gayle!

Another hit, David! The vocals are particularly grabbing in this one. I like the subtle drop just before the minute mark. Don't know if any user's have heard of them - but this particular tune reminds me of a favourite band of mine called Built To Spill.

As others have said "Dylanesque" and for us it harkens back to the Blond on Blond years.

It's great to hear Team Snyder in action again.

What a great vibe!!!! You grabbed me at the start of the intro and kept me with you all the way... really cool.

These lyrics are incredibly good! It's first-class writing from the way I see/hear them. I absolutely love how, in the chorus, you've use repetition to add ooomf (is that a word?) to meaning as well as to enhance lyric flow. Only the two middle phrases in the chorus are not repeated... this makes them stand out. There are no two ways about it, this is stunning stuff! You've really given me something to ponder here



I also found myself nodding my head at the bridge lines...


The bridge is always a great place to turn to philosophical thoughts. Many songs use this strategy to boost a song's emotional energy. What makes these words of yours work so well is that they summarise Life so incredibly well. There's a poignancy in these lyrics that will tap into every listener's life experiences.

Very appropriate key change, too.
