... for ... 1. forum member who reads/posts to this Off-Topic forum 2. who uses a relatively current version of BIAB/RB (say, the last few years) 3. who has the oldest yet still-functioning computer workstation (or laptop) that they use regularly Kind of the opposite of bleeding edge power user. More like crusty clotted-over "why are you still running THAT!" My specs: Dell XPS 8400 with a whopping 4GB DDR3, circa 2004, running WinXP SP3. Who's got older/feebler????

Chris:
Here's what the System Information window shows on my desktop PC where I run BIAB.
OS Name: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Version: 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3 Build 2600 Processor: x86 Family 15 Model 6 Stepping 5 GenuineIntel ~3417 Mhz Total Physical Memory: 2,048.00 MB Available Physical Memory: 1.60 GB Total Virtual Memory: 2.00 GB Available Virtual Memory: 1.96 GB
Looking for an installation date, when I right click on the Windows folder and select Properties, it says:
Created: Saturday, March 10, 2007, 6:38:49 AM
This is my Music Workstation, running BIAB 2017 Build 467, RealBand 2017, Audacity etc.
Worthy of note, I also run BIAB on an HP360 Convertible with Windows 10, but I have never had to specifically switch to it from my desktop for any reason, multiple RealTracks included.
Thanks! LLOYD S

I’m happy to concede that award to you guys!
In the history of BIAB, there is pre-2007, when it was all MIDI and didn’t require much computer horsepower (except for the early software synths). Then 2007 (RealDrums) and 2008 (RealTracks) to about two years ago. Finally there is the current version or two where the minimum specs to run BIAB were raised. A lot of users here seem to still be in the second stage. You may be one of a very few still in the first.
BIAB 2025 Win Audiophile. Software: Studio One 7 Pro, Swam horns, Acoustica-7, Notion 6, Song Master Pro, Win 11 Home. Hardware: Intel i9, 32 Gb; Roland Integra-7, Presonus 192 & Faderport 8, Royer 121, Adam Sub8 & Neumann 120 monitors.
