Hello
So long request (4 years or more?). Rewire could make possible to use band in a box live in our DAW . And Rewire is so common used. I wait for it to update my 2011 version, and i'm sure i'm not the only one. Would be great, even you could explain why you dont do it already.

Up to now, usually PG Music don't explain why they don't implement a requested feature. That is the rule. But what is true today may be not true some months/years later.

John-Luke is correct about the "usual" pattern, and there have been exceptions. For example, after a lot of speculation on the need for a 64-bit version of BIAB, Dr. Gannon did give an explanation. He first posted a query about exactly what people were requesting and why they needed it, and then an explanation of why he went in a different direction (JBridge). Interestingly, Dr. Gannon also posted about wanting to implement Rewire in the thread with your (Armand) only other post from late last November, so you know he is aware of it.
There have been no new versions since that time. At the time of that thread, BIAB 2017 was just days before release.
There also exists a group of experienced users who regularly do beta testing, and sometimes we can go more into depth about something in a smaller group. PG Music offers a unique product with proprietary technology, and I respect their decisions about what to make public and when. Armand, just keep doing what you are doing: make your requests in the Wishlist, where we can clarify and/or support them.

Why would you want to rewire BIAB when you can drag and drop the files to your DAW. The only reason to use Rewire is for the ability to be able to use instruments found in one DAW have them work in another DAW. For example, if I wanted to use Ableton Live synthesizers in Logic, I would need to use Rewire to sync those synthesizers. This would not work with BIAB as BIAB is solely designed to help backup your song, it provides you with real players playing real instruments in a style or allows you to insert your own virtual instrument(s) within a MIDI style, and not act as a standalone virtual instrument. If you want standalone instruments, you will need to check out websites such as 8Dio, Native Instruments, East West and other like those.

Why would you want to rewire BIAB when you can drag and drop the files to your DAW Syncing. One example is you have a recorded session in a DAW, now you want to add some PG RealTracks to it, you want to play the RealTrack along with the DAW session to see what fits best, so you use ReWire to sync both the DAW and Biab together, you can have 7 of the same instrument track/section in Biab, and by soloing each one you pick the one that fits best to the DAW session, now you use drag n drop to your DAW.
