RealTracks in style: ZZJAZZ.STY Jazz Swing Style Rivers of Ailbe is part of a suite of Celtic (I'm from Scotland originally) themed based compositions I've been working on over the past year. I added a Band In A Box bass and drum accompaniment by mixing the final version in Fruity Loops. There is a steep learning curve to BIAB but it sounds as though you are getting the hang of it. Love the mix of traditional celtic sounds (particularly the voices) with the contemporary jazz aspect. I loved this as a composition. Very moody and ethereal. The drums and bass are perfect.
Love those extra little string flourishes and the sax.

Ailbe was an ancient Irish saint with connections to rivers. Curiously he was also known as Saint Elvis! Looks like the King lives on.

A really interesting and original interpretation of a celtic melody.
The jazz bass underpins everything nicely and as David said,the whole has an ethereal feel.

I found this tune captivation and soothing all at once.

Wow - you did an amazing job on this, it's beautiful  I was really fond of how well the Celtic elements melded together with the smooth jazz. The whole track has this warm, cozy, calm sort of atmosphere to it. Very easy to listen and drift away to. Great work, and thanks so much for sharing!
