Hello Everybody,
This is an original country song of mine. It's more on the traditional side than my usual fare. All instruments are real tracks and everything was recorded in Realband. Hope you like it.

http://www.myspace.com/josiebeck and click to play Simple People Living In Hard Times.

Thanks for listening.

Hi Sundance (Josie), I just love that kind of country song. You had me singing along to it (isn't that what it is all about).
Well done

Regards
Michee

Hi Josie,

Excellent work. Unless you tell people otherwise, no-one would know that this song was made using realtracks in BIAB/RB. The work is competent at every level

Josie, I’m late to the part but I’m sure glad I made it.

It’s all been said! You have a super voice and you have a fantastic mix. You are also one talented songwriter.

This is a keeper.

Nice to meet you Ms Josie

You did a great production here. Your voice resembles Anne Murray to my ears. Very beautiful and the harmonies were perfect.

I like Country music and this sounds like it was born in Nashville. Excellent song and ya did one masterful mix on it. Welcome to the PG Forum and Music Products. I see you have RB down pat already

I look forward to hearing more of your music. WTG !!

Yes Josie you have a very nice voice. The song is good too. I would only suggest to work with the piano. It comes through canned at points. Maybe you could back it off a little of cut it out at certain points. Other than that good job.

Loved the song. Great production and great performance.
How did you do the harmonies? They're brilliant.

There's only one little thing I noticed. Being a singer myself I noticed some (a tiny few) vocal lines didn't "flow" like they could. One big one (yep..that's the biggest one, so you're good as is ) at 1:39 "working hard to make the ends meet". If you tried "working hard to make ends meet" you'd see what I mean.

But then again, I'm just nitpicking: your song is great as is. My comments are never ment to take down a song nor the creator. It's just my way to try to help out getting the best out of a person and a production.

Fantastic song, and ditto producing and singing!!

Well Mike, why didn't I think of that! Great suggestion. I'm glad you enjoyed the song. I like figuring out and singing harmony parts - to me it's fun. I just sing each part until I get something I like or if I'm really stuck I'll work out notes on the keyboard then sing it.
