One thing that keeps me from switching from the Windows version of BIAB to the new Mac version, is that I like the TC Helicon Harmonizer included in Windows BIAB, not in the Mac product. I mainly work in Logic Pro, but the Helicon harmonizer sounds better and is less hassle than any of the plug-ins Logic provides as a possible solution. I also own an older Digitec vocalizer hardware box -- haven't used it since BIAB added the Helicon harmonizer. I've got a third tool in my arsenal, the Melodyne plug-in -- great for pitch shifting and I've used it to generate good-sounding harmonies, but the process is really time-consuming. I'm thinking that if I go with the Mac version of BIAB, I might end up buying the Antares Harmony Generator Plug-in, about $200, to use for generating harmonies within Logic. Anybody know how good the Antares harmonizer is? A lot better than the Helicon harmonizer BIAB provides, or about the same -- in which $200 seems like a lot of cash for a capability I already have in the Windows world. Any other harmony-generating options I should consider?
