OP LuSilvaMusic Enthusiast L Joined: Nov 2015 Posts: 21 Brazil, Fortaleza	Every time I open Band in a Box 2018 the program shows this message: Windows Audio Session Error: Could not open stream. The error number is -9996. What is this? I bought an upgrade from 2017 version. I alreade installed the 503 and 503 updates. Help me Please! LuSilvaMusic

Noel96 Veteran Joined: Oct 2008 Posts: 19,832 Australia	Luis, See if this helps for the moment... 1. Open 'Audio \| Audio Driver and Settings'. 2. Make sure that the driver is MME (and not WAS or ASIO). I've found that it's always best to begin solving problems by using the MME driver because it's the most stable with BIAB. Does this help? Still, the current updates were supposed to have fixed this error. If you go back to WAS and still get the error, we will report it. BIAB 2025 Win Audiophile. Software: Studio One 7 Pro, Swam horns, Acoustica-7, Notion 6, Song Master Pro, Win 11 Home. Hardware: Intel i9, 32 Gb; Roland Integra-7, Presonus 192 & Faderport 8, Royer 121, Adam Sub8 & Neumann 120 monitors.

I installed updates 503 and 504 after that the program changed the audio to WAS driver and the same error happened. I changed it again to MME and it worked.
