I used F5 to change the "Settings For Current Bar" to make a tempo and style change toward the middle of one of my songs. Any tips for smoothing out these changes? I went (example) from a 120 tempo to 105 and it sounded like a drastic cut off from one to the other. I currently have 2017 PRO but will order the Ultra PAK in a few days (if that makes any difference). Thanks, John "I'm still a beginner but further than when I started"

If you want to slow down from 120 to 105, BIAB only supports changing the tempo on a bar-by-bar basis, so I would start a few bars early and change to 115, then 110 in the next bar, then 105 in the target bar.
Or if that is still too abrupt, start say five bars early and drop the tempo by 3 every bar (3x5=15; 120-105=15) to get there.

Those are great ideas. Next time I work on my songs, I will experiment with that and see if it works.
I did try a held chord or a rest but haven't had success with it yet.

Another trick to make up for the crudeness of that "bar-by-bar" shortcoming, is to fiddle with the number of measures per bar over the slow-down bars (set this inside the Bar Settings dialogue). The theory here is to chop down for example a 4-beat bar into four bars of one beat each, and set a gradually slower tempo on each of these. This can, however, be quite tricky to pull off with a realistic result... I myself have actually never done this  Also mind the resolution option for any severe tempo changes (found in Realtrack Preferences). Sometimes if set too high, the jump from one tempo to the next will sound notably worse than otherwise, due to the added strain on the program/computer.
Just because you can, doesn't mean you should!
