Is this file still required for the version 2018 ?
If yes, where to put this file in the new 2018 folder organization ?
Presently I have it in the BB root folder.

I don't have it at all on my system.

Are you able to open several instances of BIAB at the same time without this file ?

OK, I'm back.
Initially, the answer was no.
I checked allow Multiple Instances in preferences.
After that I can run multiple instances
BiaB has generated the file bbmany.txt in the c:\bb\data\ folder

That files gets automatically created in the Data directory it you check the option to allow multiple instances of Band in a Box and automatically deleted if you uncheck it.

It automatically removed the file when I unchecked the setting.

So, to come back to the initial question, the file can be deleted from the BB root folder.

Just to confirm John's reply, you can delete it and set the check box in preferences again if you wish, and it will automatically create a new file in the correct location ( x:\bb\data\ ).
