Just installed BIAB2018 and it 'arranged" the file folder structure to "clean things up."
Hardly.
It put the Soundtrack fake Book in the wrong folder - so even BIAB can't find it when loading an existing soundtrack in Melody Maker.
Same thing with load a song with Real Drums - Audio. The file location is wrong too.
BIAB also installed all my Real Track Oohs and Files under "Demos - Real Track Demos" - doh!! That's 36 files I have to manually move to the correct BIAB Real Tracks folders.
Really? Thanks for that.

Several of these wrinkles have been reported and a patch is forthcoming. In the meantime, did you update to build 508?
As a BIAB user of more than 25 years, and a comp. sci. prof, I applaud PG Music’s dealing with the crowded /BB folder. I’m not surprised a few issues like this surfaced and on the whole, they did well.

Hey Matt!
Yes my shipped (d/l) version was 508 - so I'm up to date. I'm re-installing ALL the RealTracks files that shipped, because I believe they are not registering in BIAB.
What I still get after re-installing the Oohs and Aahs Real Tracks is a text file in each individual Track folder called AlternativeFileLocation.txt - It's just a text file with the track name. That's a new one on me.
The demo songs with the Oos and Ahs now play, but I have 37 more Real Tracks that didn't "register" - so the r-install continues.

After re-installing any other files, run x:\bb\Data\BB_Cleanup.exe which will reallocate re-installed files to their correct locations.

I can’t check those particular files now, but it is normal to have some RealTracks folders that contain TXT files and no audio. They are able to make different uses of the same underlying audio. It’s not necessarily an error.

Dang, Noel.
I ran the cleanup utility and it re-merged all those folders again that I had "un-merged" so that BIAB would find them when using Generate Soundtrack.Same for Drums. Not what I expected.

The Generate SoundTrack dialog is looking in the old folder locations - We'll fix that. The new folders should be:
C:\bb\Demos\Drums - Demos
C:\bb\Songs and Lessons\SoundTrack MIDI Fakebook.
C:\bb\Demos\RealTracks - Demos.
Was there anything else you noticed, aside from the two buttons in the Generate SoundTrack dialog.
