I have an 8bar phrase that ends Bbsus...,Bb... On each held chord I get a cymbal 'tish'and it sounds really clunky.I COULD mute the drums over that bar with f5 but I'd like to keep the snare hit I also get.Did I dream it or is there a tick box somewhere that enables this?Couldn't see it in the RD page for it orin Prefs-Realdrums. Meanwhile I'll carry on rewardless. Er, regardless.

You can reduce the volume of Shots and Holds. I do that. It’s in Preferences, RealTracks I believe. It won’t stop the cymbal but it won’t be as bothersome.
EDIT: nevermind. This works for MIDI (Preferences, Arrange) but not RealTracks/RealDrums. You can adjust shots but NOT holds.

Wendy, The sound of the drums will be what has been defined in the Realdrum track as what's used with a hold. What you could also try is to exclude the the drums from the hold so that they keep on playing normally. To do that, enter the following (and regenerate)... Bbsus...d,Bb...d The 'd' is saying "don't play a hold with the drums". If the chords are mid-song, this will probably work fine. Regards, Noel

you can also add some extra measures after the end of your song with those particular chords without any part marker embellishment, open the project in RB and cut/paste drums from the section where there are no drum fills or cymbal crashes.
It may be such since you are dealing with drum beats, that you don't need to generate extra measures but just copy/paste from bars that have the drum pattern playing normally without fills or crashes.

Hi, I wanted to get shy of a cymbal hit so I put the track into my daw, selected the cymbal hit and used normalise to reduce the cymbal to zilch. That way I was able to get shy of the one hit and it is not as nasty as a cut.

Hi.Thanks for all the info.The only thing that really worked fr me on this one was to F5 mute drums on that bar and then unF5 it a bar later.Not quite what i had in mind but not too bad with everyting else going on.
