Song was created in BIAB by entering my chords, edited & rendered in PT, mixed & mastered in Cubase.
Simple melody, nice beat.

There You Are

Hope you enjoy!

Hi Mick,
Thank you for posting this.
I think that it is a wonderful melody.
I was surprised near the end when you doubled the sax.
Is there any way I could download it?

Best regards
Michee

Fantastic tune! I liked it very much.
Is that still your synthophone you're playing? Can't believe it's a MIDI-instrument; the way you put the feeling in your playing.

Great work!

Mick,

You and Jerry sound fantastic brother. That is one fine production you two made together.

The Sax sounds gorgeous with those airy pads in the background. Beautiful mix and song, I enjoyed listening to that !! WTG !!

Now this is music. Two thumbs up Mick.

I love your horn playing, super chops. A very professional mix also.

There you are and here I am...

Wondering:

Is this original?
Where are the vocals?
How you can make such a beautiful instrumental piece?
Where can I download it?
Can I play this at some of the gigs I perform at?

Lovely! Normally, I don't care much for instrumentals but this is beautiful

This is one of the most beautiful instrumentals I have EVER heard! I love it! Reminds me a little bit of 'Bilitis' but this is really SO beautiful! You are a MASTER with this! Thank you SO much for sharing

How much of this is REAL, as opposed to MIDI or RTs?

OMG! Now I'm onto your 2nd track. How do you do this? If you were a young woman and here physically, you would be lying down by now! (willingly or otherwise)

2nd track seems to end a bit abruptly?

I think Sting would LOVE your rendition of 'Fields Of Gold' - Another beautiful track

Now hitting the rock tracks. Are you tryng to blow my brains out? How have you mixed this? What tools? What software? How much is REAL and how much is studio work?

Where can I see you play live?

ALL of your tracks are so rich and luscious! It is like eating a really sweet peach to listen to.

Man! I want your album!

Ever heard of Mike Ottis? He's a big name in Austria as a sax player and instrumentalist but his music isn't a patch compared to yours!

WOW! I just saw Sam's post.
I'm away on vacation & thought I'd check in.

The song is an original.
There are no vocals. It's called an "instrumental"! ROTFL (where's Russ?)
It was recorded in my study.
I haven't offered it for download. One of the reasons is...I would like to have it on my CD & play it live before others are playing it!
It's ALL midi except for the vocal samples that Jerry added.
I never actually thought of the Synthophone as a midi instrument tho. (although it is)
I'm still very early in the learning curve. It's not as forgiving as a sax.

There's a story about the mockingbird on the "Fields of Gold" thread.

I'm truly glad y'all enjoyed it. I must say I do too. The things that BIAB/PT allow me to do, blows my mind!

Sam...if you really want to see me play, get me some gigs in Europe!
Seriously...when I sell my business & retire, I'd like to tour again. I really loved it in the 60's & 70's.

I enjoyed listening to "There You Are". It was lovely and the harmonies at the end were great.
As with most good things it sounds so flowing and effortless. Beautiful.

This was great, PERIOD! (execpt from what Sam asked) as I too would love to hear a lyric to this beautiful melody.

And as usual a solid heartfelt performance from the Mickster!
