I have a song that I input to BiaB in form ABAB. I did two versions, one long hand to use as a backing track for practice and the other just an AB with D.S. al fine, sine and fine, for a lead sheet print version. I made a copy of the long version and cut it in half and inserted the notation repeat directives.
The D.S. al fine, sine and fine do not appear on the print preview or print out and even though I don't have any measures showing past the end in chord view, in both print preview and the printout there is a second page of blank staves.
Have you tried activating Fakesheet mode to see if that helps.
There are two places for this...
1. If you use CTRL+T to switch to standard view, you'll see the 'Fakesheet' icon that I've highlighted in Image 1. I suspect that this is already set to show repeats, first/second endings, etc.
2. The second setting is for viewing and printing the leadsheet and it found in the Leadsheet mode. See Image 2.
So get into Leadsheet Mode and to set Fakesheet Mode for printing, click on the icon that I've highighted below and then have a look at the lower image in my above post.
Also, if you want to find out a bit more about Leadsheet Mode or Fakesheet Mode, have a look under Help.
That solved the issue with the symbols not showing on the print.
Now two new issues are appearant.
The sine, the form "A" at the start of the stave and the first chords are all mashed together. Image 1 below.
When I increase the number of staves per page to 17 to get the whole song on one page, it gets squashed up into the top half of the page. Image 2 below
I've looked at the help and I can't see where either of these are addressed.
That solved the issue with the symbols not showing on the print.
Hi David,
Excellent. I'm pleased it worked for you.

Thanks for taking time to post images. They help a great deal.
This would seen to be a problem with the programming code for BIAB. I have reported it to the developers.
It is possible to lift the chord position higher by using the Leadsheet Options (#1 on below image), selecting "Notation Options (#2) and then setting the chord's vertical position (#3).
Unfortunately, the above setting will affect all chords and so doesn't really solve your problem all that well.

Rather than use 17, try putting "9" in the number of bars since that is how many are there. What BIAB is doing with "17" present is that it's leaving room for 17 staves to be inserted. Since you only have 9, the remaining 8 stave locations are just empty space.
Too bad there isn't a way to move the chords horizontally. All of the chords (except for the first chord in the first bar) are considerably off center to the left, so that a chord name with with 4 parts (Ex Eb-7) the 4th letter is centered over the rest. I think this has been like this for a long time because a friends ver 2004 does the same thing. She never really noticed it because she only uses BiaB for backing tracks and Finale and iReal pro for her lead sheets.
It's also pushing some of the text at the bottom up into the bottom stave. Also "D.S. al fine" prints out DSalfine
Until this gets fixed I guess I'll just use iReal pro and Finale for my lead sheets. Shame though to have to use 2 or 3 different programs to get the job done.
My bad. I had the number 17 stuck in my head, probably because that is how many the full version has. I guess that is what happens when you try to do too many things late late night. That did the trick, But to get 9 staves to show on the page i had to put 10 in the box.

David,
One of the line of staves is reserved for the song title. That didn't occur to me last night when I typed my reply. Thanks for reminding me about this.
