Took the advice of the loger fade out and you guys were right on the money. Also added some delay at the end. ( i know some dont care for it but it ads intensity IMO ) . It's a short song about a woman i met on a blind date.( 2 weeks ago) We kind of fell for each other after about 10 minutes. ( kind of is a huge understatement) Then I got laid off and knew I couldnt continue with her without a job under my feet. Her X-husband hadnt worked for years ( alcoholic) and that's why she divorced him. When i find solid work again I'm hopeful she'll take me back. I probably shouldn't have walked away but i know i did her a favor in the short run anyway. The worst walk I've ever taken so the song does reflect a bit of self imposed anger at the end....or frustration at the very least. Probably way too much info for you guys but; screw it, right? Hope yall like. Signature click when you've got 3 min.

Given your real life walk away, the fade out becomes much more appropriate.
Maybe more than I wanted to know but living vicariously through someone else ain't all bad.
A1 production, Swanny.

No man, that's what makes it real. You're telling a real story here and that's the essence of the blues. I don't know if I'd walk away from her just because you lost your job though. Did her a favor? It's nice that you're sensitive to her feelings and history but I would let her make the decision if she really wants you to go away until you find work. Yeah, I know it's personal, can't help it...I'll butt out now.
You've got some chops man, I remember telling you that before on something last year. I've got a little jam project I'm going to pm you about in a few days.

Swanny,
Excellent work!!! Very emotioneal song. I loove your sound, what gear do you use?

Swanny, as a woman I guess, your lady didn`t leave the guy because he had no work, but probably because he was an alcoholic.
Take a chance, and let HER decide!

Wish you all the best also for a new job!

At the moment I`m very busy (the financial crisis has reached Austria some months ago too, but I fortunately have no losses),
but I have not forgotten our possible collaboration. I`ll check something out as soon as possible (but could be spring).

Heads up, all the best,
Sandra

Read Swanny's first post. He explains it there.

Lawrie, Swanny did the walking, to my mind (at least as far as the song goes)

Of course, re-reading the original post, I see the meaning behind the point about her doing the walking. But that is not what stuck in my mind

Swanny - now that I have listened to this tracks several times in a row...

1. Great music, great blues
2. Great lyrics - very powerful

Personally, I don't believe the two fit together. NOI

I think you need to concentrate on what you are trying to say lyrically - this seems like a grovelling song to me. I don't think it would ever bring a woman back or even get her to wait for you. Particularly since you did the leaving. Frankly, after listening to this I don't think she could even be bothered to shoot you in the head and put you out of your misery.

Of course, I am not a woman...
