We're recording some more jazz oriented bass RealTracks with Neil Swainson, and are looking for some suggestions. If you have any, please post here

Pat Metheny...
"...the whole idea of jamming a whole bunch of combined sounds into a single set of stereo speakers has never been as satisfying to me as a single instrument into a single discrete amplification system (electric guitar) or especially, the power of acoustic instruments and sound." The power of acoustic piano and upright jazz bass...grooving along with percussive accompanyment, has been a big "winner", and we appreciate more of the same. And, as PG customers we just ask for more of the jazz idiom, the fusion idiom, and the Metheny idiom.

Is it just me or are the above links reversed?

It's just you, John.

No, just kidding; you are correct - they are reversed. Gave me a pause at first.

No offence, but I'd like to see less lead bass & drums and more solid beat backup. I love the real tracks but they should reflect their name, "real". Also, go easy on the mix with cymbal bell playing. In a dining background gig it makes people either turn their hearing aids off and give you death stares
or drop their spoons in the soup.

Well this is not bass or piano, but I'd like to see more country solo in the style of "guitar electric soloist cowboy 165" by jason roller. Its a good clean sound and none of the other country soloists can beat it in my opinion.

Being an old jazzer,I`d like to have a nice relaxed Basie piano style, and soloist to go along with the Freddie Green styles.

Thanks
Chuck
