New updates are available for RealTracks and RealDrums. There have been many improvements since the August release of RealTracks Sets 40-66. There are over 60 RealTracks instruments updated plus many RealTracks demos (.MGU) and .STY. Updates include: cleaner guitar realcharts, more consistent volume levels, smoother playing over some less common chord types, 'out of memory' bug fixes, 'wrong chord' fixes, ending fixes, and miscellaneous RealDrums improvements. http://www.pgmusic.com/support_macintosh_realdrums.htm

cool thx. BTW...the headline when you go to DL section says "RealDrums Sets 1-20 Update (80 MB)" not 100% correct.

Ok ..tried the realtracks update. My Realtracks are on an external HD. So I choose "special" an specify the location of my realtracks folder on the ext. drive. After update I have a soloists folder and and styles folder in the Realtracks folder on my ext. drive ( plus the ones in my BIAB folder on my startup drive).
How do I clean up that mess?
Do I have to copy the Realtracks folder back to the BIAB folder on my startdrive to do the update?

Problem solved. I deleted the two folders (Soloists and styles) in the realtracks folder on my my ext drive. Then i made a "Symbolic Link" of the Realtracks folder on my ext. drive and put it in the BIAB folder and unchecked "custom location"in realtracks settings. I ran the update once more and everything seems OK now. Using "Symbolic links" is a cool way to avoid problems when upgrading, if you use custom locations of realtracks and realdrums. Just today ( Oct13/09 ) purchased the $69. special MacIntel upgrade should I download/apply the real tracks update ?
How can one tell if it is necessary to update: are there version numbers that would guide this dummy ?
