Is there a special button to push to adjust the chord length in a song that is 190bpm and I want to add a bluegrass instrument let say Banjo but I don't want it to speed up to 190 when they are already too fast at 100 and 130.

Yes, Edit-Reduce will half the chord lengths, and Edit-Expand will double the chord lengths.
The Bluegrass styles we do are 16th note based, which means that a tempo of 140 would a fast tempo. (some people would thnk of that as a 280 tempo, 8th note based)

I've done some playing around and figured out a very simple way to add these 16th based real instruments into a 8th notes based tune at a speed of 140bpm (any speed really). Simply go to soloist and chooses bluegrass band from the top and when the options come up choose "all banjos" this will change your song temporarily to a 16th notes base at the speed of 70 and lengthen the chords. Then go back to solo and get the real bluegrass instrument that you want and it plays beautifully.

It's not the Banjo's fault. It is your playback device/synth . . .

I'm a new user of BiaB 2009.5 and have Real Tracks 11 & 12 loaded, but I have experienced the same problem as you, and am wondering if Real Tracks 33 might be a better option.
I posted a few days ago requesting advice on this, but have had a shortage of answers. I seem to be unable to slow down or get a an appropriate rhythm from Real Tracks to a number of Bluegrass and Old Time fiddle standards.
I'm a fiddler and I want to use BiaB as a "back up band" when practicing.
I also am struggling to find an appropriate acoustic rhythm guitar track for many standard tunes.
Any thoughts?
