Hallo liebe Musikfreunde, ich zermartere mir seit ca. einer Woche den Kopf, wie es doch bloß gehen kann.  Wie ich schon mitteilte bin ich technisch (noch) nicht so gut drauf und man muss sich vorstellen, dass ich möglicherweise die einfachsten Dinge nicht weiß.  Hier meine Frage: Wenn ich per BiaB ein Midi lade, dieses dann mit Gesang versehe und dann ja wieder als AUDIO "rausschicken" möchte, muss ich dann nicht an meiner externen Festplatte ein Line-Kabel an die Line-out-Buchse anschließen zum Powermixer in die Buchse, wo auch ein Mischpult angeschlossen werden könnte? Die verfügbaren Buchsen an diesem Gerät sind: Main, sent, return, FTSW. Die return-Buchse wäre lt. Gebrauchsanweisung für z. B. ein Mischpult. Mein Mikro habe ich an der Soundkarte angeschlossen. Bekannte sagen mir, ich soll es doch einfach ausprobieren, aber hinterher mache ich mir noch etwas kaputt. Ich wäre soooo happy, wenn mir doch nur jemand helfen könnte. Hallo Jutta,
es freut mich zu hören, dass Dein Gesang inzwischen als Audiospur in RealBand bzw. BiaB vorliegt. Insoweit scheinen die Anschlüsse von Mikrofon, Mixer und Soundkarte zu funktionieren. Ich bin nicht sicher ob verstehe, was genau Du meinst mit " ...und dann ja wieder als AUDIO "rausschicken" möchte".
Die Festplatte benötigt lediglich ein (USB oder Firewire) Kabel, um mit dem PC verbunden zu werden; es gibt dort keine Line-in oder -out Buchsen. Einmal angeschlossen wird eine externe Festplatte ähnlich wie eine interne Festplatte verwendet - man vergisst sie einfach und nutzt lediglich den Speicherplatz.
Die TASCAM ist via USB Kabel mit dem PC verbunden. Im Grunde müsste bereits etwas zu hören sein, wenn etwa ein Kopfhörer an die Phones-Buchse gestöpselt ist. Das TASCAM Benutzerhandbuch beschreibt das ausführlich mit Bildern im Abschnitt "Kabelverbindungen herstellen" auf Seite 17.
Wenn Du etwas näher beschreibst, was genau Du mit AUDIO "rausschicken" meinst, wird es leichter, Tipps zu geben.

Hallo Martin,
vielen Dank für die rasche Info, aber nur Midi's aufnehmen und abhören geht per - mit Midikabel angeschlossenem - Keyboard. Schritt für Schritt erklärt habe ich folgendes Problem: In BiaB gehe ich auf Datei - öffne Midi-datei und hole mir aus meinem Ordner ein entsprechendes Midi. Dann gehe ich auf Windows-Mixer, Optionen und stelle Aufnahme ein. Dann klicke ich auf "Audio-Aufnahme". Jetzt möchte ich auf Aufnahme-Einstellungen und hier erhalte ich jetzt folgende Meldung: "Die Soundhardware kann nicht fehlerfrei verwendet werden. Klicken Sie in der Systemsteuerung auf Drucker und andere Hardware und dann auf Hardware, um Mixergeräte zu installieren". Da kann nicht meine Soundkarte mit gemeint sein. Die ist installiert und funktioniert auch und angeschlossen habe ich die Kabel auch entsprechend Gebrauchsanweisung. Es kann sich nur um meinen Powermixer handeln, den BiaB evtl. nicht erkennt. Vielleicht kann man mir aber auch ein gutes Musikerforum empfehlen, aber bitte eins, wo ich auch eine Antwort bekomme. Ich war schon im "Musikforum" und bin nach einer Woche warten auf Antwort wieder rausgegangen.

Hallo Jutta,
grundsätzlich sieht BiaB lediglich das TASCAM Interface. Wenn nun Probleme bei Mikrofon Aufnahmen auftreten, wäre es möglicherweise hilfreich, den Powermixer einmal zu umgehen, und ein Mikrofon direkt in die TASCAM zu stöpseln. Dies würde eine mögliche Störquelle eliminieren.
Ob nun mit oder ohne Powermixer, BiaB stellt Bordmittel zur Verfügung, um zu testen, ob überhaupt ein Signal ankommt. In der Werkzeugleiste auf den roten Knopf mit dem Wellen Symbol drücken. Es öffnet sich der Dialog "Audio-Aufzeichnung". Es ist manchmal nützlich, bei 'VU-Meter während der Aufnahme anzeigen' ein Häkchen zu setzen. Man sieht dann, ob gegebenenfalls übersteuert wird.
Um zu testen, ob ein Signal ankommt, den Knopf 'Aufnahmepegel testen (VU-Meter)' drücken. Es erscheint der Windows Mixer mit Aufnahme Einstellungen. Da ich hier kein TASCAM Interface einsetze, weiss ich nicht, ob die TASCAM hier einen eigenen Eintrag erhält. Bei mir taucht lediglich Line-Lautstärke und Mikrofon als Einstellungsmöglichkeit im Windows Aufnahme Mixer auf. Zusätzlich werden via BiaB die VU Meter Pegel dargestellt. Dort müssten die Pegel ausschlagen, wenn man ins Mikrofon spricht und sonst alle Einstellungen stimmen.
Bei den Einstellungen ist etwas Experimentieren angesagt. Im Dialog "Audio-Aufzeichnungen" gibt es einen Knopf "Audio Optionen ...". Ein Klick darauf öffnet ein Fenster "Audio-Einstellungen". Hier können Treiber eingestellt werden.
Am besten drückst Du im Fenster Audio-Aufzeichnung einmal auf den Knopf 'Hilfe' und liest genau durch, was da so erscheint. Zusätzliche Hilfe erscheint bei Druck auf den Hilfeknopf des Dialogs "Audio-Einstellung". Dieser Dialog erscheint beim Druck auf den Knopf 'Audio Optionen...' im Dialog "Audio-Aufzeichnungen".
Beim Experimenieren mit verschiedenen Einstellungen in diesen Dialogen kann nichts kaputt gehen.
Falls persistent eine Meldung erscheint wie -> "Die Soundhardware kann nicht fehlerfrei verwendet werden. Klicken Sie in der Systemsteuerung auf Drucker und andere Hardware und dann auf Hardware, um Mixergeräte zu installieren", liegt das Problem möglicherweise an der Installation des TASCAM Interfaces. Hier ist dann eine Beschäftigung mit den Trouble-Shooting Abschnitten der mitgelieferten Dokumentation sinnvoll. Üblicherweise liefern Soundkarten auch eigene Diagnoseprogramme, mit denen die Funktion einer Soundkarte getestet werden kann. Auch hier hilft die Dokumentation der Soundkarte weiter.

Hallo Martin,
da hast du dir aber jetzt Arbeit gemacht, Zeit genommen. Tausend Dank für diese genauen Infos. Einiges hatte ich schon ausprobiert. Anderes jetzt, aber ich bekomme die Meldung immer noch. Hatte auch per Problembehandlung schon die Soundkarte prüfen lassen. Jetzt habe ich nur noch einen Gedanken: Möglicherweise komme ich in die "Aufnahme-Einstellungen" von BiaB nicht rein, weil das mit dieser Soundkarte gar nicht möglich ist. Regeln, Einstellen kann ich alles an den Reglern direkt an der Soundkarte. Vielleicht sollte ich einfach diesen Punkt "Aufnahme-Einstellungen" von BiaB überspringen und gleich bei Aufnahme weitermachen. Ich denke, dass lönnte vielleicht funktionieren. Diesen VU-Meter-Pegel habe ich sowieso immer im Bild. Bei Ausgang, schlägt der heftig aus. Wäre das doch nur auch bei Eingang der Fall. Ich werde auf alle Fälle dran bleiben. Habe auch noch eine Mail nach Tascam selbst und nach Thomann zwecks Info geschickt. Danke nochmal.
