Ich arbeite mit BiaB audiophile Edition für Mac.
Es zeigt sich seit über einem Jahr folgender Fehler:
Wenn man einen Real Track generiert hat (manchmal sehr oft um z.B. ein ordentliches Solo zu erhalten) und das Ergebnis ist in Ordnung, dann möchte man dieses (und genau dieses) Ergebnis gern fixieren und in seiner DAW auch verwenden!?! Wenn man jetzt aber das Instrument auf das Drag/Drop-Feld zieht und loslässt, wird nicht dieses Ergebnis fixiert – BiaB generiert dieses Instrument erst noch einmal neu um es dann erst zu einer Audiodatei (WAV oder Aiff) zu schreiben und abzulegen!!! Die ganze Arbeit umsonst!
Es gibt keine Möglichkeit wirklich seine generierte und für Gut befundene Datei in seinen Sequenzer zu übertragen. Die letzte BiaB-Version, die das noch konnte, war Build 152! Seit über einem Jahr versuche ich beim Händler (M3C) und auch in Canada bei PG Music diesen Fehler beheben zu lassen – leider bisher ergebnislos.
Kennt niemand diesen Fehler? Kommt er vielleicht in der Windows-Version gar nicht vor? Hat jemand eine Möglichkeit gefunden, einen besonders guten oder gar genialen Real-Track doch noch in seine DAW zu bekommen?
Ich würde mich sehr freuen wenn mir jemand eine Lösung vorschlagen würde.

Hallo Helmut.
Herzlich willkommen im Forum. Tatsächlich habe ich eine Windows-Version 2018. Ich vermute, dass du nicht das aktuelle Band in a Box 2018 für Mac nutzt, sondern (wegen der Build-Nummer) eine 2016er-Version? Hast du die Solo-Spur vor dem Drag-and-Drop "eingefroren" (bei Windows geht das per Klick auf den Mini-Button mit dem Stern)? Das schützt sie vor einem neuen Rendern.

Hallo Brille, ich hatte geschrieben, dass die letzte Version bei der dieser Fehler NICHT aufgetreten ist, Build 152 war. Ich benutze selbstverständlich die Version 2018 aber alle Versionen (auch die Updates) seit 2016 tragen diesen Fehler in sich!.
Egal ob eingefroren oder nicht - BiaB berechnet den Track erst neu bevor die Audiodatei im Drag/Drop-Ordner landet. Übrigens geht es nicht nur um die Solo-Spur. Jede Real-Track-Spur, die man fixieren möchte, wird erst neu generiert!! Das aktivieren des Einfrieren-Sterns hindert BiaB nicht daran, erst neu zu generieren!! Man braucht auch nicht erst im Drag/Drop-Ordner nachschauen. Nach dem Loslassen auf das Feld sieht man in der Statuszeile am oberen Bildrand, dass der Track neu generiert wird.

Ah, pardon, das hatte ich irgendwie falsch interpretiert. Mal sehen, obe ein Mac-User dazu was weiß.

Danke für die Antwort. Ich gehe nun davon aus, dass der von mir beschriebene Fehler in den Window-Versionen nicht auftritt. Das würde auch erklären, warum bisher noch niemandem dieses Drag/Drop-Problem aufgefallen ist. Die Mac-User-Gemeinde ist ja um einiges kleiner.
Trotzdem hoffe ich, dass irgendwer eine Lösung für mein Problem hat. Händler und PG Music-Leute scheinen sich nicht darum zu kümmern! Einen gewissen "Kent" bei PG Music hatte ich voriges Jahr um Hilfe gebeten und er hatte wohl auch das Problem nachvollziehen können - leider ist lediglich ein "ich sorge dafür, dass das Problem auf die to do-Liste kommt" herausgekommen. Bis heute hat sich leider nichts getan. Meine erste Fehlermeldung ist von Juni 2017!
Von den Verantwortlichen wird sich wohl niemand auf diesem Forum einloggen und informieren?!? Schon gar nicht auf dem deutschen Seiten.
Mir bleibt leider nur abzuwarten…

Hallo Helmut,
dein Bild des PG Teams muss ich doch etwas zurecht rücken, ich habe sie bislang als wirklich sehr hilfreich und unterstützend kennengelernt – mehr als bei den meisten anderen Softwarehäusern – und PGMusic ist kein sehr großes Team. Aber es stimmt, die Mac-Fassung ist ja erst vor drei, vier Jahren dazugekommen und steht bei der Entwicklung immer etwas hintenan. Schildere deine Problem doch nochmal im englischen Mac-Forum (hast du wahrscheinlich schon gemacht, oder?) oder schreibe wirklich nochmal den Support bei PG direkt an.

With Band-in-a-Box® 2026, we've released 202 incredible new RealTracks (in sets 468-488) in a variety of genres—featuring your most requested styles!
Jazz, Funk & World (Sets 468-475):
Our new jazz, funk & blues RealTracks include a groovin’ collection of RealTracks and RealDrums! These include more requested “soul jazz” RealTracks featuring artists Neil Swainson (bass), Charles Treadway (organ), Brent Mason (guitar), and Wes Little (drums). There are new “smooth jazz” styles (4), which include a RealTracks first: muted trumpet, as well as slick new smooth jazz brushes options for drums. Blues lovers will be thrilled—there are more “classic acoustic blues” styles, including guitar (5), bass (4), and drums (10) with blues master Colin Linden, featuring understated and tasty background acoustic soloing, plus brushes drums and acoustic bass. There is also a potpourri (14) of bouzouki, guitars, banjo, and more, perfect for adding texture and character to contemporary acoustic arrangements. We’ve added funky country guitar (5) with PG favorite Brent Mason, along with classic pedal steel styles (5) featuring steel great Doug Jernigan. There are more country songwriter styles (8) that provide intimate, rootsy foundations for storytelling and modern Americana writing. Finally, we have “background soloing” acoustic guitar (12) with Brent Mason — simpler, but still very tasty acoustic lines designed to sit beautifully behind vocals or act as a subtle standalone solo part.
