I had hoped that with new Biab versions (2017 and 2018) my problems with substyles would stop. I still have erratic arrangiaments when I use substyles C,D E,F and so on).
Sometimes I hear only the drums, some other times, it does not change style, or plays substyle A instead of E.
Am I the only one who use substyles with problems here?
I have tried to contact the support team without any answer after the first in which they say to send the files and I have sent them.

If it's any consolation, I have the same problems. I LOVE BiaB, and have been updating annually, most recently to the audiophile version, for many years. But a subset of features (substyles, oohs, pushes, Amplitube integration, etc) just don't work, or work but don't sound as musical as the other stuff. So I hug the parts that work for me and hope the next release gets to my challenges. A poor response, I know. But a world with the BiaB we have is better than one without...

Hi Sergino,
How long ago did you send the song files? I'm not finding any emails from you since you were asked to send the files in January, so we may not have received the email. Can you send another email to support@pgmusic.com now with song files attached that demonstrate the issue?
What you're describing does sound like what would happen if you were using different style types. For example, if the main style uses RealTracks, and you assign a MIDI style as C and D, or vice versa, you'd only hear drums during the sections where the MIDI style is used.

I think another way to say this is that RealTracks do not play more than A and B substyles. At least I'm not aware of any that do. Would that be correct?

If you go to style picker and sort under the sub style column you will find a hand full at the top or bottom depending on ascending or descending sort.
In fact they are all realstyles _jazmedl in fact gives 18
There are 1 16, 1 14, 1 10, 2 8, 2 6 and quite a few 4s
So not sure there Mat?

You can't mix and match MIDI and Real on the same track within a style. If you start out with a RealStyle piano on say the piano track, and then invoke a substyle that uses a MIDI piano on the piano track, it's just not going to play. And vice versa. I'm not sure it this is what is happening, but it is definitely one of the ways to keep a track from playing properly.
As I understand it, if you switch from RealTrack to RealTrack, that should work (but I would have to test it) and switching from MIDI to MIDI on the same track has worked for a very long time.

Just to make sure are we talking about what BIAB calls sub styles in the style picker A B C D E etc all different colour bar markers after the normall A and B blue green
There can be up to 18 of these as in realstyle _jazmedl, see #substyle column.
I have no problem with these and played around last night with the above style up to G, swapping every 4 bars.
I think this is what the op was talking about,
Not swapping whole styles at different bars in a song for another style.
Just my thoughts

Just another thought .
If your song uses say a six substyle real style for the song.
Then you can not bring in realtracks from another style that did not have at least 6 substyles, then that track will have holes where the missing sub styles are used in the song
Say F and G if trying to use a 4 sub style track in a song bassed on a 6 substyle style.

No MIDI. I use 2016,17,18 standard real tracks and 2015 audiophile real tracks.
From the previoous answers I read there are some other limits in the use of substyles that I will check. Then next week I will send again some files to support.
