There was a "No Full Screen" thread in 2017: "No Full Screen" Last post was promising that issue would be fixed in build 466.
I have build 516 - running on Windows 10. Secondary display with 1920x1080 resolution. Still BIAB does not maximize vertically. Can we get that fixed, please?
OK, this sounds like a different issue then. That thread was describing a problem where if the primary monitor used a lower resolution, then BIAB would only be able to maximize to that resolution on a larger secondary monitor.
Do you have the same issue if Band-in-a-Box is on the primary monitor?

No primary monitor works fine - BIAB adjusts vertically and horizontally.
Ok, thanks but that's just maximize window, which is not at all the same thing as "full screen" which is a mode that expands the window to fill the entire screen, covering the task bar, and removing the upper window bar. Press F11 in your browser (Crome/firefox) to see what I mean, most modern windows applications have some kind of full screen, distraction free, mode.
As Matt says, you can usually use escape, but not always. Firefox already uses escape for other things (like aborting a search) so you have to use F11 again. For apps that support it, I think F11 will always switch to full screen and back, but sometimes escape will get you back too.
anyway, it's really cool on a web browser but would be even more awesome in BIAB, especially if like me you do screencasts and want an uncluttered screen without the taskbar. #featurerequest
I use 7TT (https://rammichael.com/7-taskbar-tweaker) to switch off the taskbar always on top. This lets BIAB (and other apps) cover the taskbar when it is full screen. Not quite the same as F11, but close.
Assuming you still have this problem, if you send screenshots of Band-in-a-Box maximized on each monitor, I'll see if I can spot any clues. You can send them to support@pgmusic.com.
