When I save my Preferences every time I reload BB it goes back to the way it was before I saved them in the options menu. For example I prefer to have 4 bars in the Bars/Screen setting, I've saved as a "intrface.bbw" file and loaded it back in to find it's gone back to 2 bars.
Also the path to the Preference files is pointing to the Templates folder and not as you would expect the Preferences folder, is this correct?
I've been playing with this and reading the help section etc for some time now without success, is it me?
I assume that you have already completely closed down and re-started your computer to get rid of errors

Configuration Files
Band-in-a-Box uses the following files for configuration. If you want to restore Band-in-a-Box to the "factory settings" you may erase these files from the C:\bb\Preferences folder.
(Each of the other .DK files also contains this information)
INTRFACE.BBW
This file contains info specific to Band-in-a-Box for Windows, such as the name of current MIDI drivers, Wizard status, etc.
If you would like to restore Band-in-a-Box to "factory settings" you can exit Band-in-a-Box, delete these configuration files from the C:\bb\Preferences directory, and reboot Band-in-a-Box. Or choose Options | Return to Factory Settings.
This restores the file INTRFACE.BBW to original settings with the option to either include or exclude the MIDI drivers and patch maps.

Solved! thanks for that Jazzman, deleting those files has done it, and its taught me a valuable lesson, when things go wrong return to Factory settings. BTW where abouts in the UK are from?
