It does look like I'll have to repeat changing my audio and MIDI driver settings again, as they're back to WAS. Fortunately, I have your directions and some experience.
Okay, got it. Most settings were intact; I changed the audio driver (Audio; Audio Driver / Settings; Audio Driver Type. Then most of the rest was fine.

Thanks for your help. I think I might have toggled between the various buttons in that section too fast, too many times. They worked initially but then got stuck.

Ha ha! I'm having fun; it's a great program. I've used earlier versions but never invested the time to reap the benefits.
It's perfect for me, as I'm disabled and housebound. I've struggled to play my bass over the years but am enjoying a fun period creating music again. BIAB is available to me whenever I want, for as short or long a session as is comfortable. I also really enjoy the styles and instrument patches.
All technology has its' learning curve, to be sure. Thanks again for your assistance!
The transparency described by Videotrack is a result of user requests for more control over visibility and placement of windows in BIAB. It can be a very helpful feature.

Not that I'm aware of (although it shouldn't have stopped responding also). I think Return to Factory as Noel suggested is the only way.
