That's a REALLY good find for anyone that uses SoundCloud. I like that not only did he make suggestions and give examples but that he took the time to provide his thoughts about why the changes work.

One big surprise to me was his statement regarding the content frequency range not affected by SoumdCloud's 128K MP3 codec. His statement was frequencies between 2,500 to 16,000 Hz are least affected. My guess would have been 500 to 12,000 Hz.

Thanks for sharing the link!

Good video. Thanx for sharing.

Jim, IIRC 500 to 12,000 Hz is for 64 bit MP3.

Mario,

I couldn't believe that the filters start cutting at 2,500 Hz. That's mid range!

I agree. He had to have misspoke there otherwise all of his songs would not have any low or low mid frequencies.

I came across this plugin today which sounds interesting for this situation.
https://www.pluginboutique.com/product/3-Studio-Tools/72-Utility/3905-EXPOSE?

I downloaded the trial, and although I haven't had the time to check it in detail, it comes up with some good information. The presets cover just about everything.

If you haven’t, check out the Youlean LUFS meter. It is free and very easy to use, just add it as the last plugin before going to your speakers (usually called the master track). Set the streaming service, play your song and Youlean will let you know the levels. The graph will let you know where you are over or too low.

There a many free LUFS meters but the Youlean LUFS meter is trusted and much easier to understand than most. IMHO
