Having used BiaB for several years now, I'm a bit disappointed that the generated endings are still weak even the latest version. Anything on the back burner to spice these up?

A fair question. Since you are new to the Forum (Welcome) you may not know that Holds are not supported by Real Tracks but that PG Music has acknowledged fixing this as a goal. If we had holds for Real Tracks, endings could be immediately improved.
When using MIDI styles, not Real Tracks, I often tell BIAB not to generate the 2-bar ending automatically, and I make my own. For example, do you know that a hold in MIDI will last until the NEXT chord? If you just have an ending chord, you will probably be unsatisfied, but if you move a bar or two further and put something like C. there, your prior held chord will hold. Just make this "final silent stop" chord a different chord - anything - from the chord being held.
As of version 2009, the ability to do fadeouts was greatly improved. Press F5 at a bar near the ending and see your options.

I scripted this post before I had accessed and read the above. Just to add a little more fuel here is my original text:
One addition I would like to see added to real tracks is the ability to sustain at the end of a song. At present say with a two bar ending the piano (or sax etc) does a very nice little arppegio or run but it gets cut off pretty swiftly to fit into the end of the bar timing. I often wish the piano etc could sustain the ending for say another bar at least to let the strings fade away. This would make it sound even more realistic.

I've been suggesting that the 2-bar ending be changed to a 4-bar ending for awhile now. Not even to necessarily make more elaborate endings, but for PG to be able to redo them so that the instruments have time for a more natural decay. This would, I think, solve a lot of problems.
