I'm suddenly having a problem with Song Picker seemingly since the 1809 Windows 10 update.
I've been using Song Picker regularly without problem with 2016 and 2018 up to now.
I can rebuild the data base after deleting the .BIN file without problem.
I tried rebuiding with 8,000 songs, 400 songs and on the BB Demos files (presumably not corrupt).
But once rebuilding is done, when I click on the Song Picker button, BB freezes.
The BB window grays and becomes inaccessible as long as I don't delete the BB process in Windows' Task Manager.
I tried reinstalling BB 2018 (with patch 520) twice, once as administrator.
No avail. The Song Picker is broken.
I can still load files directly and BB works fine. Or better, I assigned the Song Picker button to the personal dialog option wich has a search function, so it's not a fatal flaw.
Still, I'm puzzled at this strange behavior and I seem to be the only one with this Song Picker problem.
Intel i7 windows 10 1809 (latest November update).

Hi
It seems that 1803 and 1809 are features updates and have caused many problems
I too had problems and have gone back to before the features updates for now and everything is working fine
I am told by Microsoft that it is to do with system corrupted files and the solution is to do a clean Windows 10 install
That means reinstalling all my apps which I dont have time for right now
Its a Windows issue rather than a BB one

I can't prove it but it looks like a Windows 1809 issue.
I didn't have this problem before the update.
I'm from the linux world, Microsoft advocating a clean install to solve problems is preposterous!
I won't do it but I'll try to scan deeply to find corruption.
I should try using BB from a new user account.

YES, it may help a lot.
I have no problem rebuilding the Song Picker .BIN database but I can't use afterwards.
Are you saying you have no problem using Song Picker after rebuilding?
If it's the case, it may be a corrupt user account.

Yes song picker works fine after rebuild from any folder
but then not all 1809 updates caused problems only on certain pc configs
Have you tried returned BIAB to factory settings as a mater of interest, just in case.

Then it's clear that something went wrong with my Win 10 1809.
Kent from PG technical staff is helping me with the problem.
I'll tell him it's not a PG issue.
So case closed.
