I downloaded and installed the update for BIAB 2019 a few days ago. I have Studio One and the BIAB VST appears to work OK in that. I also have Cubase 10 on the same PC as Studio One. I can load the BIAB VST on to a Cubase instrument track, but when I try to preview sounds I get the error message 'Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file'. Has any one else had this problem? Suggestions for a fix would be appreciated.

Is Cubase using the audio device exclusively ? Is the ASIO always on ?
as this may prevent Windows from using the audio device to preview the tracks with WMP in C:\bb\BBPlugin\SavedTracks\xxxx and Demo Styles, RT & RD.
If you use VoiceMeeter Banana that should solve all the problems.
I have VoiceMeeter Banana Hardware Out set to my Audio Device.
I have Windows Playback Device set to HiFi Cable or VB Cable both available from the VoiceMeeter website, The VST running in Reaper is using the Windows Playback device in my case HiFi Cable to preview the Generated audio files, Reaper is Using VoiceMeeter ASIO AUX, Biab is using VoiceMeeter ASIO the VoiceMeeter Mixer mixes all the ASIO and non ASIO out to the Hardware Audio Device/s.

Because of all them bugs in Cubase 10, i still stick with 9.5.41 (Pro), IM0 a very stable version. And i leave the BIAB VST alone for now, after trying it with Cubase 9.5. It needs some fixes i guess, but PG is usually much faster at it than Steinberg. Guess Pipeline is the expert here .... F

Thanks Pipeline - yes, Cubase was hogging the audio device; changing the settings to release ASIO when Cubase is in the background fixed the problem.
fiddler2007 - The reason that I have Studio One is that at one point I had given up on Cubase because (for me) it was too flakey and I couldn't rely on it. I came back to it with the 9.5 release which (for me) was very stable and, so far, I have found Cubase 10 to be OK.

Thanks Pipeline - yes, Cubase was hogging the audio device; changing the settings to release ASIO when Cubase is in the background fixed the problem. Now that's a thing i will have to try. Tried voicemeeter yesterday, but couldn't get it's proper routing going so far; give up for now, fed up with all that hassling and testing of all sorts of tricks and settings; doesn't really support workflow and creativity; ain't funny anymore. .... thnx.

You will just need to try and see what you get, click on the Menu for settings.

Tried it, got Cubase to play through voicemeeter, but the BIAB VST GUI still disappears after loading a song file ... i'll wait for the updated version.
